Stand alone comment here- I had to turn on the furnace just now. It's been cold the last few days, mornings are chilly.
I said screw it @ 56deg. tonight (inside). Mornings are low 40's now. ( if not less..)
Winter will come a bit early, at least this year. I'm not alone in that assessment.
'course, if you live lower than 8K elevation, your results may vary. I'm just not ready to start burning yet, but I might have to soon enough.
    Thanks, JB.

My opinion too. Heck, I use my SUV's more as trucks than a lot of people use their actual trucks. I just like to have the bed enclosed for when I'm driving in the rain with more fragile/precious cargo.

I use my vehicles until they don't go no more, or until they cost so much to fix mechanically/electrically, that it doesn't make sense to keep. They also tend to have very high miles so I don't care what resale value is because it ain't gonna be chit regardless of condition.

I hope so, highway miles are a lot easier than city. My distant cousin had a 07 classic with 351K, he drove to town and back every day he operated his business and drove around town during the day. Still couldn't hear the engine running, and little rust compared to a lot of lower mileage ones. Still on original u-joints......

haha, you speak my tongue, we hauled wood, lumber, deep freezers among other things in our old Suzuki hatchback and that hohestly might have been the most trouble free machine we've had in the immediate family in my lifetime......

Fog heavier than the smoke this morning so everything is drippy. Weather change predicted for the end of the week. We will see what happens. We have never seen the smoke this thick before in this area.

You'll like this then. This was a large electrical enclosure that I had to deliver to a sub contractor that happened to be on my way home. 1_IMG_20170926_173717441.jpg 0_IMG_20170926_173730461.jpg

I think our cell antenna bit the dust. Going to check if it's just out of tune, but cannot remember how to get into the field test for the numbers. Anyone have a droid turbo?

We get a doe with triplets every now and then. Had one last year and have another this year. We used to see many more but with so many does being shot now most of the does in the herd are too young to have triplets.

As for weaning, they can get along without mother's milk much earlier than most people think. At this time of year I would not be worried about them.

Also as for coyotes getting young deer, it is mostly newborn that they get. With wolves, it is a different story. They are not fussy and go after anything.
