A good friend of mine lives in the Appleton area. He has some wood css but needs to start hoarding for the 3 year plan. If anyone has any contacts that can deliver a grapple load to his house please let me know. Hopefully I will have a chance to help him cut and split the wood this October while I’m up that way for training. The 261 should be broke in by then. Thanks for any assistance.
I don't know a lot of people in the GB/Appleton area, heck, I don't even know anyone with a grapple/ big truck down here 1.5 hours south of GB. I'll ask around though.
OK, he says there is a guy that advertises log truck loads on CL sometimes, but the ad is not up today...other than that he said he has a tree trimmer that will bring him stuff from jobs sometimes, said he just turned down a soft maple due to having about 5 years of wood on the ground. He is willing to pass the guys info along to your buddy if he is interested in taking "one-sie/two-sie" loads...(and if he is close enough)
My logger buddies seldom bother with cull logs and Appleton is WAY TO FAR from where I am at. The business is putting high grade timber on the ground. The log cut offs I get are in their way and they like them gone.
that sounds like a legitimate self help group... Seriously though, I love how this group works together! Glad to be a part of it!
