Can’t wait to put her in some wood! Even some day find an elusive full wrap handle for it!
As for me busy as always!!! Just never ending! Glad I’m on the five year plan with wood because I haven’t even cut any since April!! :faint::(

The 143 was a very good saw. Very similar power and performance to the 056 Super/Magnum. Personally I much prefer it to the 056 !
But, there wasn't a good dealer for them in Ketchikan or other southeast Alaska towns. So they didn't really catch on like Stihl and Husky did. I fell some timber with the 143 on Prince of Wales Is. Good saw ! Pulls a 36" b+c real well.
Friend of mine used 166 Dolmars on his Alaska mill. Better milling saw than an 090 Stihl !

Haven’t put a gauge on it . But the cylinder looks pristine , And the bar appears to be an original with minimal wear .Just got the saw up and running today . Had to wait for the tank sealant to fully cure before running fuel line and gassing her up . She idles ,transitions and runs well at the top end ( 11.5k somewhat rich ) .

Did that wake it up a little? I thought it ran pretty good at the GTG.

I didn't sink it any wood yet.....but it definetly is louder. Seems snappier. I may have to fiddle with the air screw some but from what I have read....is a starting point.
It was made in 2012...so it has the typical hard to start after its been ran for awhile n I hope I can get it better with the screw adjustment. Should take it back to the dealer n get the auto tune updated also.
