What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

We cooled off to 63° this morning. Humidity is still up there at 89%. Having coffee inside right now. Once the humidity drops I’ll give it a try outside.

It’s been so wet lately we discovered that carpenter ants are in the house after years of never seeing one. I set out the Terro baits last night and think I’ve isolated them to the kitchen where they seem to be coming from the bottom of the cabinet toward the outside wall of the house. Will have to see if there has been any water infiltration along the sill in the basement. Once had a problem along there. I hate these buggers. They freak my wife out for some reason.

 

Ugg! It is smoky, foggy and dark outside. We are up early for our walk before I get ready to go to work. I really enjoy the first week back as there is usually just the two of us and I can get things done without too much interruptions. The excitement builds as teachers start drifting in next week and then bang - all the students are back. It should be a good year this year.

 

Caffeine now in. Laundry moved over to the machines for the wife and kids to complete. Time to go out and pick up the remaining stones and larger chunks of wood/roots on the newly finished off area. Then go for a run before I go into work. Hopefully I’ll have enough time to stop and get the grass seed on the way in. Tomorrow morning I’m going to try and put it down. Suppose to rain Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday.

Dang....we just got almost 2" of rain in 45 minutes.

 

Well, time to hit the road again. Off on a trip to NY and CT going to be go, go, go for the next 3 days.

 

Water is going again....... on a bright note the pumps are up where our gas station is moving.....nice new pumps.....they have a roof over them and now appear you be offering high octane gas....both of those features are new.....looking forward to the opening

59F this morning, hopefully this signifies that we are on the back side of summer? Bring on the cool crisp fall weather!

Wife and I are leaving the kids with my inlaws Thursday and taking off for a few days. Gonna head to Portland ME for a company funded night out with a customer for me, wife will hit up a sunset cruise and enjoy the suite I booked. Then off to N Conway NH to the inlaws vacation house there for a night or two. Looks like the weather is going to be perfect!

Guess he didn't need his trailer. Or maybe he's got another stop.

 

I hope so. Gotta love those people though who don't use the truck, but have a trailer smaller than the truck box.......

 

Another smoky day here mixed with fog. Weather pattern isn't going to change much until the end of the week. We have three main fires on this end of the island and a collection of little ones. Those with the smoke from mainland BC is causing air quality problems.
