I have one scheduled for 75... my cousin is having his this week, at 79 almost 80...
Guess it depends on where you live, and who your doctor is.
And of course your health. If they think you should have a long life, it may be worth it.
If you are a sickly sort... well... why bother to even get one?

Finally a day of reduced humidity! And a gorgeous breeze to go with it. Hope it lasts.

The forecast is showing a few nights this week where temps will drop into the high 50s, so it looks promising as far as getting a brief reprieve from the nasty humidity.
    :)

It is the prep that can produce many issues for people your regular 75 year old will be fine with the scope "procedure" but most 75 year olds can't handle the chemically induced cleansing due to BP concerns BP is not normally close to normal past 65 if even then. BTW normal is now <120/<80 these days, how's yours?

Well I just finished my lunch which included a good ole hard cider time for my nap, BTW my chemically corrected BP is 137/54 not good enough for a colonoscopy but too good for a BP med adjustment.

Yes! Fresh air, breathable air! Opened up the windows, turned on the the exhaust fans and let it rip. No need for AC today. sick of 6 weeks of muggy wet hot air.

My BP has been chemically controlled for 40 yrs. Even when I was trim, my bp had to be regulated. My bp is in good range for now, but not sure how long that will hold. I am maxed out on some meds and near that with others. My cholesterol is in very good range. Now is I could only walk more than 50ft without bad pain.

Those are all over the side walk at my daughters house. the tree above that area are maple and oak. Can't help but wonder if they are caused by some insect.

We bought a 06 Road King today. Batwing fairing with a 4 speaker stereo, complete 2 pipe Vance and Hines exhaust with a tuner and big sucker air flter, Harley sundowner seat. Its fuel injected and the 2 best parts are its only got 11,500 miles and I only had to add $150 to my insurance settlement for the 2000 30k mile Road King I totaled.:banana:

Hell, I'm 2 months away from 67 and they still have me on the 5 year plan. One of my brothers had prostate cancer in his early 50's, so they still want me to have it.

"The American College of Cardiology still recommends getting blood pressure below 140/90 in people up to 80 years old,
and the American Heart Association says blood pressure should be under 140/90 until about age 75,
at which point, Dr. Elliott Antman, the heart association’s immediate past president, said,
“we might allow the blood pressure to creep up to 150.”"

That's good all the references got lowered last year the prior bands were drastically lowered. There is no more high normal. The Docs shoot for <140/<80 and settle for <150/<90 mine is quite happy with my readings I just have issues with the dizzies. But damm the patient full candy for all. Those ccbs are the pits, just ask the folks that are on the 10mg dosages or even the 5mg dosages and a 50 hour half life (urinary retention).

yea, even for our DOT physicals, which used to cut off at 140/90 have been lowered to 130/80....above that, and you don't pass. Even if you're on meds, it means that you get tested every year....I wonder why 140/90 is no longer acceptable? I wonder if its not some crazy medical grab just for mo' cash? I dunno.....I see many drivers who I wonder how in God's name they actually pass a physical...huge guys, grossly overweight from eating at roadside greasy spoons, no exercise to speak of......go figure :deadhorse:

Wait a while, the limit will go to 120/80 and most of those big boys will be belly up in the trucking world. Just give it time.
