    I've watched a lot of that guy's videos. He's a good welder, but he's also a young guy and often tries things with no experience--of course, that's how you learn. That said, I wonder how he cleans the ashes out without having to remove that heavy rack every time.

    I was wondering the same thing with the rack.I even said why bother my wood stove burns very well with no rack.

    Nice concept, He's got good intentions! :cool: Good for quick heat but no brick for lasting heat. All that work and time, I'd have just found an old Fisher on craigslist for $200.00 and been done with it. :whistle:

    I tend to agree with you.

    I cannot say anything, in part because my father made a nice stove one time out of a 275 oil drum (a lot of irony in that I suppose), but here people sell woodstoves cheap, or even give them away if you get to know them.

    But the point of YouTube Channels is to get subscribers to get advertisers so doing something, even if there are other ways to do so, is how it is done.

    I fully understand. Remember the "kits" with the 55 gal drums? I had a friend years back who had one in his automotive shop, the bottom rotted out in three years. o_O
