she has got to be uncomfortable. I have never seen a knee repair that was a cakewalk.

Brian, I'm glad to see Maple up and moving! That's a very good sign. Before you know it she'll be wanting to chase the chickens.

Hard to believe how many dogs are getting that knee surgery. My poor Max was miserable until we had his repaired. He was just too big and awkward when he injured his knee chasing my son's mutt who was much more agile. In his later years he was lame again and slowed down to just a walk. Our other lab, Molly, is an American lab. More sleek, less heavy. Also she doesn't have to win every race like Max wanted to. So no really costly vet bills as yet. We haven't picked up a second dog like we usually do. Hoping my son, upstairs, will get one.

Yup................I'm pretty much in the same boat. Haven't chased a mutt in a number of years, and have also slowed it down to a walk!!!!!!!

On a brighter note, Thermometer hit 89º again today and it was all pups in the pool. As soon as we started to fill it, the 13 year old, "on the left" jumped in first, He loves the pool. DSCN3163.JPG DSCN3166.JPG DSCN3165.JPG

This is the first day since mid July we haven't been in the 90's, Our local radio station said we were 86º but my back yard thermometer say otherwise. :dennis: This is almost a daily ritual.

I am sure grateful for those inexpensive kids pools. Easy to fill up and keep reasonably clean. Molly likes to wade in them, but never sits down in them.

Maple update- she is still resting alot which is good. Not really any bleeding today except just a bit this morning. Her leg is continuing to sell up, mainly at the ankle.

Looks like things are headed in the right direction Brian. Maple ought to be diving after sticks before ya know it. Lotta extra things to deal with after a big surgery like that I'll bet. Maple's mighty lucky to have you...
