Made 1.5 gallons of pickles, 3 gallons of salsa, and a couple jars of peach sangria this AM. Need to mow the yard after it dries out a little.

Grilling some yard bird for dinner.

Just got back from a nice day on the lake. Happy and tired dogs, brats cooking, and me about to monkey on the boat stereo again.

Oh yeah, I weighed myself after a day of sucking down beers, and eating subs, and i've officially lost over 20 lbs by just eating better. Yep, I have cheat days, but I haven't been under 240 lbs in at least 15 years.

So THAT'S how to do it.
I was at 231 this morning and man it's tough losing that last lb to hit 230. I'll prolly be 234 again in the morning.:headbang:

Night shift #3 of 14 here at the mine in the North West Territories. We had a storm come through here that lasted 24 hours. Winds were topping 60 mph and the real temperature got down to +6C apparently. Hard driving rain for most of it. No fun at all. The entire camp was cold today. We still managed to pull 2 dozer blades and an excavator shovel bucket for the welding department and split a track so we could replace the front idler frame on one of the dozers.

Right now, I'm not sure what the temperature is, but you can see your breath. At least the wind and rain have held off for us. I'm helping with a 500 hour service on one of our big shovels. Even though it's dark and cold, it's still better than being stuck working in our shop. I need a certain amount of the great outdoors and fresh air every day or I start to go squirrely.

I can't wait for the end of this set. Momma and the kids will be visiting relatives out of town and I'll be a single man for a week and a bit. Time to head out into the bush on my own for some peace and quiet....when I'm not running a saw of course. :) Ok...break time is almost over. Time to go play with the big iron some more. Cheers guys.

Lol. I eat very well most days. The beer I drink on the boat is light beer at 5 carbs a beer. I was still shocked that I I got to 238.5 lbs after all that, after a day on the lake. I've always heard that you weigh the least in the morning , before eating anything.

We got to listen to a distant thunder and lightening storm yesterday morning. Apparently it was quite loud if you were living in Port Hardy - 30 miles away. They got some rain out of it but we just got drizzle and mist. It is still very dry around here.

Our excitement over the lot clearing came to an end. The excavator cleared out the corners of the lot, dug a couple of holes, filled them in again and left. Now we have a mess down there and a small group of trees left in the middle. I am hoping that was for the sale of the property and that more will be happening in the coming weeks.

Our weight loss program through Weight Watchers has been very successful. campinspecter is nearly at his goal and I have a few more than him to lose to get there. It will get easier once we are back to our scheduled regular routines. Right now we are enjoying summer as I only have one week left before going back to work.

Is that what they call "chit for brains"?

Ok. Gotta get the boat packed up to head out to the lake. I just left it hooked up to the 4runner, so less work than yesterday.

Another weekend.....another 6-8" of rain. Ive had just about enough of it this summer.

Great work Horkn! I have been stagnant for the past few months. Need to get back on the wagon soon. I'm down 50 since Feb with at least that much more to go.
