    Sorry Pete, btstdt absolutely ridiculous! I recall cancelling one late 90's or early 2000's ish. They sent a prepaid return box for certain parts. WWW climbed a ladder to remove those parts to send back (along with the receiver & remotes etc.) Dish was on the side of our house that was walk out basement, 11" ceilings in both basement and upstairs, but also on the extra 4' cathedral truss. They said we owed money for not sending that part back, ummmm nope, I took a picture-granted we were still film back then but after paying for reprints and sending via snail mail they did indeed remove the charge. Highway robbery.

    I’m dropping the modem off on the way out of town tomorrow at their local office. Supposedly they are open at 9am we shall see. I almost guarantee they will have a fee assessed for something and I won’t pay it. They have got to be the worst service hands down!

    The last cable provider I had tried to charge me for a dvr/ cable box that they said I didn't return.

    I proved that I did with the receipt of return, and also I had the serial number of the box . They traced it as being assigned to some other customers house now. How could that be. Lol . They dropped the claim that I owed then any money. It was a pita to deal with though.

    Thanks everybody for the safe travel wishes....got to our destination a little over an hour ago, and relaxing before the onslaught of tears tomorrow...
    I think it will go better than pure sadness tho, because Cousin Carl was larger than life, and seeing as his Down Syndrome condition was supposed to snuff his life at numerous milestones, we (Becky’s family)(and he) were blessed with 52 wonderful years of his presence. He touched more lives than anyone will probably ever truly know.

    Well, about 3ish weeks ago, the company i work for had heard rumor that i was quitting.
    So i received a phone call from the owners girlfriend, who thinks shes something important...
    Anywho.. I gave them my notice. Told them i was done by August 31st.

    Well, ive dealt with some crap, and im tired of it. Wednesday was my last day.
    I turned the truck in Thursday afternoon after a rough conversation starting just after 7am
    and ending around noon on that Wednesday morning with said girlfriend...


    I'll be starting my new job sooner then later, which is awesome.

    Pretty much crossing a bunch of people off of my list, making my circle smaller and moving on.

    Life.


    Been helping a firewood buddy move.
    We got rid of all of his wood so we didnt have to handle that stuff anymore then we already have.
    We are thinking around 30 cords worth.. He made some money and my waist size went down.

    The trees taken down were what we consider weed trees. Red alder grows like weeds around here and unless they actually take the roots out, they will send up a lot of sprouts from the stump. I guess it is one of our few hardwood trees and some people like it for firewood. Beside this lot that they started clearing on, there are other vacant lots that have a lot of salmonberry and alder trees on them as well. Unless everything is cleared off and kept mowed, we will always have cover for wild animals right in town. Kids being attacked in town is certainly a concern around here and fortunately parents have been teaching their children how to look out for wild animals.
