    I felt good on the walk/run so I went 8.5 miles. A good bit of walking during it for rest, but that will help me from getting too sore. It felt good. I haven’t been out as much as I should. Then my son and I watched The Revenant. Good movie, warning that some parts are brutal, but a good movie.

    Getting a little more rain here. We’ve been fortunate lately. It’s been enough to save the crops, grass, etc around here. And allowed me to burn up a lot of debris.

    More rain, couple down pours. Wasn’t expecting that. Sat out on the porch and had a couple cold ones all the while it rained. Enjoyed it very much. Time for dinner.

    I’m a fan of the 45 and 90 minute mix-by-hand mud for bedding in tape..... but yes, it is harder to sand....:yes:

    Ugh, I dont miss those days. I used to drive heavy duty tow trucks. When it would get brutally cold, we would get crazy busy for as long as the cold lasted. Work 32 hours, sleep for 4-5 then back at it for another 24ish. Rinse and repeat.

    The pay was great, especially with all the overtime work commission off the books. But theres no way in hell I'd want to do that again.

    Had a real downpour yesterday afternoon but it was very short lived. Still, we got .7" out of it. Good thing it was short of lots of things would have gotten washed out at that rate.
