Four piles made so far. I may have about 20% of the branches moved and piled. You know when those cartoon characters are scared and they say "mmMother"?
I added a fifth pile now. These will be some good size fires when I'm done piling. They will be burned when conditions are just right. No wind, and a rain has started.

Thanks Stinny. Appreciated. I busted ars today and made some real good headway. The two piles closest to the pond became one large one. I just piled more and more branches between them. I think I may have moved and piled about 40-50% of the branches and saplings that I cut. I drank a little caffeine every two hours and water every hour and feel pretty good. I quit about 4pm. Tired right out. I suspect I will be in bed about 8:30 tonight. LOL
We started the clean up as well, I did t have too much time to help as I worked until 7pm but my wife was able to get a good but done.
Great job, Gas. These are the times I'm glad I have a small plot of land. Cleanup isn't so bad here. Good luck with the rest of the work you have ahead of you.
Yup. I hear ya Al. This "clean-up" was my own making. I am improving the view of the pond and field from the camp. So I took out some dead trees, lots of small Ash saplings and trimmed these pines way up. Created a lot of stuff to burn. Some of the lower branches on these pines I trimmed were over 7 inches in diameter and had grown out 20-30 feet from the main tree. I hope to have a nice carpet of grass all through there by the middle of June. If I can get everything cut flush to the ground, then use the York rake on the back of the tractor and collect up all needles and sticks, and level everything off by the end of April I can get some seed planted.
Clean up continues. Wind is so cold it is turning potential rain to snow. Nice working weather though!

I will try to get some pictures of the fires. For sure. I will wait until I have some rain starting to be safer, and I will probably wait until dark though. So the pictures may not be as good. But I like to do that because I attract less attention that way.
Be careful, the DEC explained to me that having a fire with a flame over three feet can get you turned in. I had called to get some info before burning a few years back, plus my neighbor was having a huge fire (in the summer) back in an area that was loaded with dead pines/needles, real smart.
