I'm on a fixed payment plan. I pay $91/month and the electric rates in Maine are higher than most.

    That's not bad at all.

Almost all LED here now. The final holdouts are flood lights outside but as they burn out, LED go in. 2 down and 2 to go

I’m with you G. The humidity thus far this summer has been the worst I can remember. Usually we get some brief breaks here and there. Not this summer; pretty much non-stop, it’s awful.

On a bright note I’m hearing an unseasonably warm winter is coming. Hope it materializes. In the meantime, all we can do is wait out the heat and humidity until Mother Nature gives us a good break.

You can save those for my 50th birthday.

We will be back up labor day weekend. Will check it out. We went to Kalers, which had great small belly fried clams. And Boathouse Bistro for apps. Which were pretty good as well. I have been up there a few times but can never remeber the names of the places. The only other place I remember was Rock Tide, which is now something else.

I have 2 outside floods the Auto feature is disabled and it is rare that they get turned on all of the rest are LEDs or CFLs, I replaced the other stuff close to 10 years ago, My bill is under $600/year.

After using the portable A/C for a month to keep the house at 80* (It is set to turn on about 3 pm and then I turn it off the minute it gets to 79* outside in the evening). my electric bill went up to $63. Small house, single, away from house for 14-16 hours a day. I do use a lot of fans in the evening, but lights are off most of the time since they produce heat - most lights switched to LED a couple of years ago so even when on they don't suck up much power.

Hope you heal up fast and with no complications! Good plan not to do anything to aggravate or derail any progress you've made by heating season.

UPDATE: Well, I guess my argument to the park manager finally got through. I asked him, "if I were to take my mobile home, and tow it somewhere else, the pipe in question would still be in the ground after I left.....so why do I have to pay to fix it?"

I got a text from him last night stating that the park was paying for the whole thing (except the fee for the pipe camera my plumber used to show the pipe bent down in the middle).......they were here this morning at 7 am and it was done when I got home. Only thing I see wrong, is that they should have put a 2-way cleanout in......that didn't happen AFAICS.

A/C has been on right along...
    Less than 1.50 a day.
Worth it to not be all clammy..
Spent too much of my life needlessly roasting in the summer..
    no more.

I have a feeling that once the heat breaks that's about it for summer. Things will go downhill fast. Yes, I like it warm. Not this extreme heat and humidity but 80* and "normal" humidity levels I love.

We went on a hike in Holderness earlier today. Got to a cross point and decided to come head back rather than go on. Boomers were in the area and the skies opened up just after we got in the truck.

This was a spur of the moment hike while we were here Get Nearer to Nature | Squam Lakes Natural Science Center and we weren't really prepared (no water on a hot/humid day) so that made the decision not to push it as well. We did the Forest Trail to MT Fayal Trail where we decided to not summit Mt Fayal (small MT but supposed to have great views), came back down to the Eco trail when the boomers got close and real.
