Only a quick ride from here. We go there often. There are some scenic drives alongside the ocean. (Ocean Drive). I've yet to go to the botanical gardens. Love the ocean air.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!

Went to Montreal a couple weeks ago with some old friends of mine that are all turning the big 4.0 this year. Spent the weekend in Boothbay with family. Good times!
Is there a discount on pellets now that I am old?

Son and I put in a new water pressure tank as the old one had a diaphragm problem. We were going to work on the garage too but called that off due to the heat and my knee. Plus he worked 16 hours yesterday after the storms Friday night took out power for 20,000 folks in Poughkeepsie and surrounding areas. (thankfully not me) Going to keep my leg elevated today to try to get fluid/swelling to go down in my knee. Also going to take a day off from sweating.

Yup, you can't carry as many pellets at one time from point A to B. .. Take it easy there, you're getting older.

Well a week later and coming out of my prescription drug haze. Man I don't ever want to experience that again as it is fuxing awful at best and still plaguing me and will for some while.
The surgery went well which is wonderful but I was not ready by a long shot and greatly underestimated the first week recovery, I should have known after they handed me a script for 50 Perc's which are gone by now, it was going to be as bad as everyone had told me. I would not wish this on my worst enemy ever period .

Started passive exercises today in preparation for PT which starts 3 weeks after surgery, sling 24/7 for four weeks , drive for 15 minutes max for now. No work 4-6 weeks .
Stuck at home and the wife and I are about to kill each other but hopefully as the pain recedes and I can do more I will not be such a miserable, annoyed, impatient, F'ing Ahole. She deserves better and I am really trying !
Did manage in my codeine haze to swap out my motherboard to a X470 and install a new graphics card as well. Probably not a wise thing to do but was very careful and managed to do it pretty much one handed while in a sling.

Heat has been relentless so expect a phenomenal electric bill oh joy, have to run the house AC as the recliner I am sleeping in is on the the first floor. Like others have also had a ton of rain which was needed for sure and no floods in the basement which is great.
All in all just mending both physically and mentally looking forward to getting back to normalcy if there is such a thing .
Still don't have any pellets thinking I am going to have to take the season hit as I do not think I will be ready to do anything before then as there is no way in hell I am going to screw this up and have to go back for surgery.

    Hope all are well

Well, septic tank had to be cleaned today (park pays for that), but there is water pooling near the connection from the house outlet pipe to the tank inlet pipe.....looks like whoever did this when house was put in used the wrong (cheap) pipe, never used PVC glue (cheap), and didn't install a clean-out T (cheap).

Have a call into the plumber I use. Unless the pipe to the tank is actually collapsed (fingers crossed that it is), it's going to be my dime to fix it.

Hang in there and get your wife a huge present when this is all over-maybe a week away from you   Only kidding...sort of ;)

An acquaintance of mine did the same last winter and pretty much described the same as you. He had a cooling device along with the sling for a few months. Funny thing is whenever he was out, like at the grocery store, guys would come up to him and say "rotator cuff surgery, eh? I feel for ya cause I went thru it" He says it like a club

Oh and do whatever the PT and doc tell you to and more important what they tell you NOT to do, you dont want to screw this up. My buddy's PT kept threatening him if he tried to do more than he should.

Its F'ing hot !!! And yeah the electric bill is going to be up there. Add to all this heat is its a longer than normal billing cycle AND having to run ac at night to beat the humidity which is rare to last this long around here.

Last bill was low, only 88 bucks. So I paid extra 30 bucks to take the sting out of this month. Silly... but psychologically will feel better when I see the new total in a day or 2. Kind of my own budget pay system

Luney, be sure to not overdo it, that just prolongs the pain, you'll need more painkillers that way. Thems not good things.
