Still raining here , sump pump going off all night . Been a challenging year maintaining the course , with all this rain . The turf keeps growing , but we can't get out with the equipment to mow it , a lot of walk mowing this year . I don't mind it at all just time consuming with a small staff doesn't leave much time to address other tasks . Membership is understanding , they realize that Mother Nature is the Boss .

Glad you have members who understand as this weather is no fun for anyone working outside. High heat, humidity and now all the rain.

Thankfully I mowed the weeds here last Sunday.

I got caught in a deluge on the way home from work yesterday. Stopped at Market Basket in Rochester and well, lets just say I got very wet getting back to the truck. Some were waiting at the doors but a few of us said screw it, time to get wet.

YESSSSSSSSSS...send the next gully washer out west PLEASE

I am about 25 miles south of Portland Or, and its been dry here....Not all that much different than we usually see this time of year, but still hot and dry.

Yesterday we had heavy cloud cover all day and some light rain in the morning, but barely enough wet to settle the dust.

By late afternoon you could not tell it had rained at all.

Send some of that rain to the midwest! We haven't had significant rain here for 6 weeks. A tenth here, a tenth there, just enough that we're not in trouble yet, but I do a lot of gardening and landscaping, and I'm getting really tired of dragging hoses around! Haven't got anything done this year because all I do is drag hoses around. On the bright side, I usually spend about 90 minutes weekly mowing, and I've spent a total of 30 minutes on the mower in the last month, so I guess the time thing really balances itself out.

Propane is 2.39/ gallon here. Menards has Sets for 185/ton right now, and corn is running around 140/ton. Looks like a corn burning winter.
