Just a quick show and tell. I wanted a 4 way wedge for my splitter, but the local offerings were a sloppy fit, and not exactly what I was after. I said to heck with it...it's only 90 degrees out there. Might as well fire up the band saw and welder. I dug through my scrap bits and came up with this. Works perfectly. Not the best welding job in the world, but then again, I don't claim to be a great welder. LOL.
Nice work, nice design. One of these days I’m gonna have to rework the cheapie that came with my splitter.
See how the horizontal wings are sloped inward to guide the wood toward the center ? Highly recommended.
I'm no welder either, but I've seen 100x worse than that! Usually on motorcycle frames that have been chopped up and re worked. Anyway, nice job!
