We just followed the GPS directions. PA Turnpike to I think Downington near Philadelphia then into Delaware. We were not in Maryland at all on this trip. If I ever do go that way I'll look for your farm and business.

I'm so close to the Ferry that if I go to the end of my block I can "almost" hit the "BIG BLUE" Ferry sign with a stone going into the terminal. o_O Although my arm's not that good anymore, maybe 30 years ago! . Yes, Cape May is quite pleasant but what used to be a sleepy little blue collar town has Boomed in the last 40 years. I can say this; If you get the chance or anyone reading this, Cape May is Beautiful at Christmas time! They really go big here and with all the old Victorian homes all lit up, it's real pretty.
Sadly this state and area doesn't want the working man here any longer, they just want the taxes and revenue. NJ is getting way out of control with laws and regulations, It's sad! :(

Why do I think there'll be another New England gtg, but at a different venue?

You know, about the same time moving vans show up.

We are east of Harrisburg. Real toad strangler for days here. We stayed dry, but lots of flooding in the low lying areas. The stone lane will need some serious maintenance. The Kubota and box blade will get a workout for sure.

When we had a shingle roof I would sometimes get up there with my old baseball spikes if I had to clean the chimney or hang Christmas lights when there was snow and ice :loco: . Probably wasn't the wisest decision I've made but those spikes worked well. Don't think I'll be doing that with a metal roof. Gotta be dry and snow free now.

    That's very shocking
Keep an eye on any (plastic) vent stacks going through the roof. The snow is hard on them.

We got hammered on the first day of the storm with 5". Then all said and done the total was about 9.5. Finally got my basement completely dry. It doesn't flood but the water runs across the floor at one point and the perimeter gutter overflowed. I have 1 area of yard that will be swamp for 2 weeks if we don't get more. Crazy stuff.

We had a dry weekend in SEPA. Managed to mow, kayak and take in an Iron Pigs double header (Phillies triple A team). We are dry again today, but Tuesday through Saturday show 60%+ chance of rain. Good news, only had to water the garden about four times this year. Bad news, mowing twice as often as I normally do in July.

I'll bet the hay is growing nicely out there but it would be tough putting it up. It needs time to dry first and how can you dry if it keeps on raining.

This morning I drove the tractor across a patch that I worked up a couple days ago and wow! I was going slow but the dust was awful. We are really dry.
