Looking forward to getting this high quality hatchet. Should be good for a lifetime, and I'm really impressed with their products. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gransfors-B...342?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item416f1499ee
I only have a little girl, but she'll be inheriting a lot of things from me someday...whether or not she has interest in any of it. She does love the woodstove.
I have two girls also... and they should appreciate it also.... Still a tool that will survive our lifetime and will be valued by the next generation.... Cant say that about most of the stuff that we buy....
I find myself really enjoying using things that have a little extra thought and care in the manufacturing. A sharp kitchen knife or a fine pen are the same way...although I've never had a fancy pen. Probably would be worried about it walking off my desk...
Nice looking cutting tool. At that price, I hope you aren't one of us who turns around and forgets to pick it up. You might want to wood burn your ID or something unique to discourage it from walking off.
I agree. I'm not one to normally splurge on stuff, but I do watch what things are worth (resale value) when it's time to sell. That axe holds it value. There's a lot of things we can buy/ own that may be more expensive, but it holds it's value. Too much through away stuff, although cheap, may cost more in the long run.
Finally arrived. The company was back ordered and no one could get them stateside is what I was told. Either way, I got it today. I need to sharpen the edge a bit, but it's pretty much what I expected.
