A guy I know said the worst car he ever had was the nissan. And this coming from a guy who lived on what a heavy smoking habit left from a welfare check and drove old cheap machines that he was lucky to get a year out of.

I hope she knew that Infinti is just a fancy Nissan. Typically the pricier upscale versions don't fix stupid flaws like seat mounts, but add more goodies.

Yeah my '03 SD has the 5.4 too, I agree, it does just fine...even pulling a loaded dump trailer. Now if I was pulling a heavily loaded gooseneck trailer (for example) on the highway trying to maintain 65-70 MPH on hills, then I'd prolly want a V10...won't go diesel...BTDT...too expensive to fix!

She knew. It was actually rated by Consumer Reports as a good used car to buy. Nissans in general were never rated as being great cars by CR.

Caffeine going in. It is really nice out with a temperature of about 60. My son and I are going to go for a walk/run.

Was just going to say that. Why is it a photo of the sun hurts almost as much as looking at it?

TrinitySouth99 you missed the real big problems by ford when outlining major stuff. You didn't mention the 5.4 trison, ejecting plugs in the older heads and the sticking them on the newer ones. Or the cam phasers or the timing chain issues. The newer ones I think they finially fixed those issues but only took 10 years or so.

Some horses decided to stop by this morning.
They’ve been absent for the last 2 mornings.

Like I said, I could have gone on. I definitely wouldn't want a 3V 5.4. The 4.2 v6 had bad gasket issues especially early on. The FPDM was another issue with 11th Gen fords.

Gm had absolute junk quality interiors for years and couldn't keep a handle on inside or out, hope that's changed. Tundras did have a recurring issue with transfer cases a few years ago. Dodges have been plagued with bad electrical gremlins for years, even the current-outgoing generation. Let's not forget about the legendary death wobble either.

If someone would make a truck that can't rust, I'd gamble on any number of drive train issues......

VW had a full size concept pickup at the auto shows this year. If they come with the same 12 year rust warranty as their cars they might sell some. They used to be 12 year unlimited mileage, but now it’s 12 years or 100k. They spray the inside of the frame and body with cosmoline.
