Dropped from 91 here @ 5 pm to 74 right now but still sticky as all get out. Just came in from dispensing a really large hornets nest in one of the pole sheds. Got the little peckers....................................:rootintootin:

Send it this way - my house was 78* this morning before I left for work. It will probably be worse tomorrow morning so I'll need a good chill down in the outside temps to get it reasonable again. Got the A/C set to go on this afternoon when the sun starts hitting the south/west side to try to keep it at 80* in the living room and kitchen.

Caffeine going in. At my Dad’s this morning, but he is still sleeping.

We finally got some rain last night. It rained again around 3-4 after the storm around midnight. Both had thunder and lightening, but the earlier one was stronger and louder. A couple good down pours though.

rottiman and Loon . Did you guys get some rain?

81° already with 83% humidity. The other day it was in the 90s with 98% humidity. It was the worst day of the year so far. It rained the night before last and we are supposed to see some T-storms today. This humidity is wiping us out. Can’t get much done outside.

Yesterday may not have been the hottest we've had this year (92) but was perhaps the most uncomfortable to work in. Nasty for sure. We did have a shower move though a bit after 3:00 that helped a lot but of course the temperature shot back up again later.

Much nicer this morning. Was 59 when I got up.

yooperdave I see 43 forecast for Newberry tonight. I'm tempted to head up there to enjoy it.

Unusually warm here this morning with no wind. Either it will stay calm and get really hot or the westerly will start up and we will be freezing in the wind. I have the boiler running today to get the storage tank back up to temperature so it will probably be really hot this afternoon. The kids split me some kindling and put wood down in the basement for me so I am good to go for a few firings of the boiler. After this one, it should be about a week before I have to do it again.

My son and I just went for a walk/run. 3-1/2 miles was enough with 80 and humidity at 89%.

Break time and lunch. Then he and I will stack firewood together while listening to some tunes on the radio. Probably 20 minutes at a time in this humidity.

Now the humidity is going way down since this morning. Thank goodness. While temps slowly climbing. High of 85 today.

The sky is dark, and there is thunder in the distance. My phone just started talking about a flood warning until 3:15. We're in for it! IMG_20180717_1948.jpg

My neighbor with dementia just showed up at my backdoor, barefoot. I managed to get her home before the rain, otherwise I would have had her on my hands all afternoon.

    Yup very true.
Major Manufacturing flaws is something most companies should be over by now. Its one thing to build with cost in mind(because everyone does it) but constant defects in flagship models is no bueno.
That's why I'd take a hard look at Nissan or Toyota waaay before looking at Ford. Their "quality" has imo been declining rapidly to a point of shameful.
