The rains have slowed a bit the last couple years, which has helped. They also have 2 big and I mean big pumps that push a flood of water out to a nearby river. From its peak in 2011 we are down about 5 feet.
Those pictures over the lake look like professional studio quality, frame worthy, hang on your wall photos. Amazing Greenstick , enjoy your small slice of heaven on earth.
That isn't a good picture - it is a great picture. Frame worthy! Gift worthy even (if you like your neighbor anyway )
A look from the shoreline back to the camper. Not new, or fancy, bit its paid for and we are only in it to sleep, so it works for us!
Star light, star bright, first star we see at night. Actually I think it may be Venus, but that is splitting hairs.
You should have seen him a few days ago when I showed him the area we just surveyed and are going to give it to him! He plans on building a house and the thing that excited him the most was the privacy he will have and a long driveway too. Oh yes, we did teach him to love the outdoors.
Almost a year since the last post so thought I'd revive this thread. We continue to fix up our site and enjoy any chance we get to be there. My hoarder instinct crept in and as soon as was possible this spring, I built a wood shed at the campground. Re-stocked it this weekend out of my stacks at home so we are dry and now staying that way under a metal roof. In 2 weeks I'm heading up there for 10 days of vacation and can not wait!
