    More piccys

I recently scarfed up some mid 70's reels Classic II # 360 (new in box) #350, 330 and 325

The later ones are nice to look at and show the evolution of the brand fielded by the GLADDING CORP as South Bend brand up until about 1976 or so ????? as Gladding tossed in the towel on reels

The smaller 300 series are not the beasts the 900's were and the larger 300's are little better.

The 900 series had machined bronze gears and top notch ball bearings.

The Classic 960 will winch your truck out of a ditch ( Salmon, Tuna BIG FISH)

    Hope you folks enjoy these.

    JUST AN FYI

Hair scrunchies work sweet to keep the line from off spooling when its not on the rod...
    Cheap and look waaaay cool

Just got the Classic II 330 today and it would not turn.... tore it open Pinion gear broken.

POS no parts available that I can find.

    Lovely unit on the outside.

Looks like a factory FUBAR as there is no sign of much use..
Likely sat on a store warranty return shelf for years and wound up on ebay...

If I can find another thats not as nice outside I can swap the parts

Sorry about your accident and glad you are relatively okay. Hopefully it is just bruises and RR.

So after 3 trips to the shop, the Explorer's A/C is fixed. As a recap: Took it in on 4th of July for diagnosis/fix, and they told me it was the compressor but they didnt' have that one in stock so would order it. Took it in Friday and got a call 1.5 hours later saying the compressor they receivedfrom the warehouse was the wrong one and they would order directly from Ford and overnight it.

Took truck in yesterday and guess how my luck ran? The compressor they got from Ford was no good. Guy said it looked like it had already been installed previously(should have been brand new) but they installed it and found it didn't work. They had a guy drive down to a dealership in MA to get another compressor. So they installed 2 compressors yesterday (the bad one and then the good one).

Hey, my luck runs bad, but usually it is in 3's so it ran true to form. The A/C now works (I checked it out, then turned it off and drove home with the windows down). I can make a planned trip down to RI next weekend to pick up precious and delicate cargo that needs the cooling power to keep from being to stressed out.

Soooo, finally getting a new refrigerator after the 5 year old LG bit the dust.

Lowes stepped up to the plate and refunded all of my purchase price plus 250 in spoiled food-check, not a store credit. That alone means I am buying from Lowes again.

Going with Whirlpool and Lowes has a floor model I can get at 1499.00 for a 2800 fridge. Good deal but they have the replacement model on sale at about 250 more.

Either way I am buying the 5 year warranty.

Save the 250, or get the brand new one?

Frankly I would like to get another LG or a Samsung, but I cant get past the idea of not being able to get service for those brands in my area. LG actually is not bad in reliability but Whirplool ranks higher. Samsung is a little bit lower than either.

Do you like/need something that is better in the new model (even if it is the layout of the interior)? If not, I would take that $250 and put it toward the 5 year warrantee. But then I wear clothes that are literally 15 years old so I gots no fashion sense at all.

Hmmmm, the more I thought about it and the thought of people opening/closing things (maybe improperly) over whatever period it was out there has me wondering......Its been turned on but cooling has been off so shouldn't be worries of the sealed system being running.

Seems to be pretty similar. Original model has issues in user reviews, but all refrigerators seem to have issues in user reviews. Wondering if internal items have been updated or not.

I have the same fashion sense..............

I went by Lowes at lunch and the woman in appliances actually agreed that new in box over a floor model made more sense for the price difference-she wasnt trying to up sell suggesting that a less expensive model might be better than floor model. "Its not like it's a 400 item, your spending over a grand-get a new one." She helped with some discounts got the cost down to 210 more.

Seeing all the positives folks have been having with Lowe’s and the plans, I’m thinking I’ll check them out next time.

Glad you’re in one piece. I’ve seen enough motorcycle accidents that have gone seriously south.

Feel a bit better. Right hand/wrist is sprained I think. That's probably the worst pain. I walked for awhile today and my knees are hurtin too. Guess I'm not a kid anymore.
