    Nice looking weed beater...
I bought a Husqvarna a few years ago, and its been good, but it takes a 3 armed monkey with a prehensile tail to load the double row string line :hair:

Bad day yesterday. Rode the bike to big car show in Saugerties and we split up when we left in different directions, so I was riding alone. More than half way home traffic was backed up and I was looking past the car in front of me to see why traffic was doing 40 in a 55 . The car in front of me slowed very quickly to make a right hand turn into a small side road and I hit the brakes hard and the front wheel washed out. Didn't get hurt bad, right wrist and knee hurts a bit and road rash on elbows and knees shoulder and big hunk of skin from right palm. Bike needs a front end, one bag, crash bar and road light at the very least.
Took a few days off to try and get my right hand to work again and trying to get insurance company info and decide who is going to do the repairs. Sucks
My fault, but I should have had the cops check the car for brake lamps as I don't remember seeing any.

UNLIKE! Sorry to hear about the incident, but aside from your injuries, you're alive. The bike can be fixed. Get well soon, my friend.

Been adding to my South Bend Vintage spinning reel collection.

35 reels and counting and 2 cabinets full.

A few pics of some of the sweet ones that are new old stock (many with original boxes and papers...
Keep in mind these are 50 years OLD or so GIVE OR TAKE A COUPLE.

I have some that are from the early 60's (Not nearly as pretty, but almost all could go to work)

The ones in the pics have never been on a pole as is evident by the lack of scuffing on the foot where they would be clamped to the pole..

Too many to photo them all.

The cabinet shots show all of them in groups of the model series (Usually 4 to a group) THE CLASSIC 960 is joined by its siblings the 935...930...925

The large Classic 880 is joined by the 870...840...820

The little ultralite 725A is joined by the 730A...750A...760A

As I find more NOS reels I swap out those in the collection that may have seen MORE LOVING

I am hoping to have a nice factory box for each specimen..

I have a few reels that are not "Show quality" that are very serviceable and I use fishing.

I have a sweet example of the Ball bearing machined gear #835 that is my fav for trout..

I also use vintage rods of the same era...

A new old stock Garcia conolon #2510T light action pole is my go to pole for trout.. Early 1960's
