Don't get in from the cottage too much-checking in when I can. The pics show how I blocked off the rafters of the garage addition to keep the bugs/critters out of where they are not welcome!

Also, pics of a new acquisition for a memento of the Navy days! First hauled it home, then gave it a coat of paint.

Lastly, another item for the "workshop" in the garage!!  DSCN0602.JPG

My back and shoulders are a mess. Left shoulder worse than right, and I too am a side sleeper. Way too bad off for only 43!

I need to bite the bullet and get the shoulders fixed, just for quality of life at this point.

I iced it earlier, and that helped considerably. But then I realized the parts dept at the dealership was open today, so I went and grabbed what I needed to finsh.....now I'm suffering again and icing it down again.

as long as you can guarantee you can pay it back, I see your point. I don't like borrowing money unless I absolutely have to....

The water here is worthless, costs more for treatment chemicals than our time/gas etc as well as ruins pipes quickly, sadly, not worth the investment.

I get your point of view TrinitySouth99 but credit, like any other tool or weapon when used wisely, is a great benefit.

I couldn't have paid cash for my place, and in 7 yrs 2 months it will be paid off.:banana::dancer::banana::banana:

Hey yooperdave nice man cave, love the pool table.

I see the LP's there, do you actually have a working turntable??

I know they can still be had, but don't know many that still have one in good working order.

    Very nice.

    edit..
Oh, nice anchor also by the way, it's a slight bit easier to get an anchor to represent your service days, than to get an old fighter jet. ;)

I agree on that, I have a credit card I use some when I know I have the money to pay it back, and that's pretty much the purpose. Me and dad share a line of credit we charge expenses like insurance, buying older vehicles, and stuff like that.

Our project house is getting slowly done as we have money however.....it means too much to take the chance on borrowing.

There are different schools of thought on that but I say good job! Don’t burden yourself if you can help it!

Standing rule here don’t borrow money. We paid everything of it took a long time but there is no plan to go into debt again.. It makes you a slave to the lenders and you end up a slave to a job you hate to pay the money back and feed your household at the same time.

We aren’t rich but we are comfortable and ironically we can afford more things because we don’t borrow money.

yeah, I agree. Sometimes you can't help it and that's why it's good to have credit just in case. When I use my credit card, I know I have the money to almost immediately pay it.

If you can pay cash for a larger purchase, do so. The place dad and his girlfriend bought, it's a mortgage, but it's barely more than her rent was so why keep pouring that kinda money down the drain when you can always sell if need be.

Unfortunately though, same as borrowing money, sometimes you're forced to rent depending on your situation.

Me, most days I'd sooner go back and lice like the natives that our race wiped out....they didn't use money, and I bet they were a lot happier without it.
