Aside from the lack of rain, great news Backwoods Savage as that is traveling Eastbound. :dancer:

We had thunderstorms around us yesterday, but not a drop here.

Got a good soaker during the day on the 4th, made it nice and safe for fireworks.

I haven't read the last few pages as I haven't been checking in for a few days. I took the last part of the week off. We have been on the lake each day this week! Been to two of them this week. 20180705_152117.jpg
Both these pictures are from Lake Hartwell, Anderson County SC. 20180705_183511.jpg

Yes we love it! It's new to me a little over a year ago! It's great, can hold all your stuff and room for all kinds of people. Coming from a smaller center console and a fish and ski type boat, you are falling over each other when there is 5 people in them. Been over 10 years sine we used my wife's parents pontoon before it was sold.

The weather finally broke late yesterday. Nice to be able to enjoy my porch for a few days again!

Time to head out and prep my chains for today's scrounge once the coffee is consumed.

Caffeine going in. Dump run for my parents and our house this morning. It’s 46 degrees this morning! High of 81 will be nice. Yesterday was beautiful temperatures as well.

Good scrounging weather! I'll take my grandson to Benson's park in Hudson, the playground looks nice, and we won't fry!

    Sure is clemsonfor :)

We have a similar pontoon up in the Northwoods. 20' with a 60 hp 2 stroke. It works well, just not for skiing. I have my ski nautique back home, and it's a pita to haul it up north 3.5 hrs, launch it, then pull it out at the end of the weekend.

My nautique is a 19', But it's so narrow, and a closed bow, with the big V8 in the middle, there's not a lot of room. You have to pack small coolers, no room for floaties blown up, etc. 4 people and 2 dogs is tight.

The pontoon, just bring it. Mega cooler, tubes, 10 people+ dogs. I just need to get the stereo system up to my standards like it is in my ski boat. I'll probably not put a subwoofer in the pontoon though. ;)

I'm working on my stereo. The old one shorted out in a terrible thunderstorm I got caught in. I'm not going all out just put an ok but not high end head unit. Put some ok speakers to replace the 20 year old cheap ones and installing 2 new 6.5s one already in and in a position so I can hear it.

This is a 22ft boat. I have a 60hp 2 stroke on this one too. 21mph or so wide open is all it will do with just me in the boat. 4 adults and about as many young kids and it will be around 15mph wide open but like you said it's for cruising not skiing.

campinspecter is doing great after his surgery. The medical staff are quite pleased with his recovery. I get to see him this afternoon again.
