The boss has a collection of (friends) seniors who have had all of the possible outcomes and elected not to get the shots, so far she hasn't had a lot of bad pain. She had chicken pox twice as a kid.

That Ryobi would be perfect for you. Has a two point trigger (thumb on top and then regular trigger) and the chain quits moving quite quickly once you let off.

Wish I could have a chimenea or one of those small metal "burn pits", but none of that allowed in the space I have.

Well, I'm breaking down. House was 78* when I left this morning. I didn't even get to open the windows until about 9 last night because it took that long for it to cool down to 86* outside (matching inside temp). Since I leave the house at 4:30 am, I lose a couple of hours of cooling time. With the temps staying in the 90's for several more days, and the morning temps around 70, safe to say that the house isn't going to get any cooler than this morning's temp for a while.

Checked on CL for a portable A/C unit this morning. Don't want a window unit since it will rarely be used - this way I can wheel it into the room that I store the window fans in when not in use. Of course that is assuming the person hasn't already sold it.

ahhh......no A/C in my house.....I just pretend I am in the carribean! I also take a weird pleasure when the power goes out when its this warm, knowing its you "AC folks" who overloaded it.....and now we can all enjoy the heat together!

    Bwahahaha

took it a little easier over the weekend. didn't stop us from putting some fire into the FairBanks! First start in over 14 years!

central AC on in the house. I generally don't need it as the house is shaded most all day, but when it gets this hot and I'm working outside on it goes!

I was fine with the house at 85* yesterday. but if I don't do something soon, it will be in the 90's in the house, with the lows in the mid 80's - my cockatiels are already starting to think I mistake them for owls. They spend all day in the dark as I have all shades and curtains drawn and lights are off until it is cool enough out to open the windows. Unfortunatley I get no shade from about noon on since I had to take down the willow tree last year.

I know a lot of my Vet friends are getting the new vaccine. I'll be looking into this for sure. I hope your wife is in contact with her primary MD. When Cindy had her, she was in a living hell. Pain was horrid. Her outbreak was on her chest around to her back. The outbreak was a huge mess. I have seen it on others who got it on their face. Horrid stuff for sure. I trust you had chickenpox as a kid.

You can get one of those roll around AC units that vent out a window and don't need to be drained. You, the cat and the birds will be much more comfortable if you can drive the humidity down and and the temp. more tolerable. I got the unit on wheels because I no longer can lift a window unit. The unit I have now works like a heat pump. It can cool and heat, and lower the humidity.

Oh yeah I had the chickenpox as a kid. I also had the mumps three times so no one should speak to me about lifetime immunity on anything.

I only had mumps 1/2 a time (only on one side), so it is definite I could get them again (so said the doctor 50 years ago anyway).

The 2007 vaccine only worked for 50% so vaccinated you still had a 1 in 6 chance of getting the shingles. The new stuff (2017) is 90% effective.
