Had pan seared scallops, spud salad, and from the garden sautéed garlic and Swiss Chard.

I love sea scallops. Hannaford had them on sale for 2 weeks recently for 10.99/lb and I ate a bunch of them but I won't pay the current price of 17.99/lb. I also love king crab legs and would love some. Shaw's has then this week for 25.00/lb. I don't think I'll be eating any anytime soon.

Generally I can keep ac off in the house till mid afternoon as the 8K unit usually handles and recovers the first floor pretty well. Not today, if I waited that long I dont think this smaller unit could recover the temps. 1st floor ac just went on. Bedroom (2nd floor) will stay off till this evening-maybe

Heat index this afternoon around here suppose to be near or over 100 deg :dennis:

Heading out for a dump run and maybe spray some deer repellent that all the rain obviously washed off.

Stay safe and hydrated all !!!

Usually wifey and I meet up with a few others on Sunday at bout 10am and go for a ride and maybe some lunch, getting home at 3pm or so. Today I just didn't feel like dealing with that heat so we left on our own at 9am. Rode to Conn. around twin lakes and followed the Housatonic river for a bit where its a little cooler. Returning home at noon we could feel the heat building. Spent the rest of the day in the AC.
Can't wait to work all day in the 98 deg. heat tomorrow and Tuesday.:(

thanks. I am "thinking" of getting a chiminea and will need to be able to use small stuff in it. I have no business trying to operate one of my chainsaws unless I something changes. But those little electric saws shut off fast and are very lightweight. A chiminea is a good place to burn some of that stuff like you have been hauling off.

How did she not have the shingles shot? There is another newer one out now, so many are being vaccinated again. Ck with your doctor if you haven't had yours. Cindy had shingles, really bad, a few years back. It took months for the pain to subside. Some only get a mild rash, some with no rash at all. They can come back, even after having a flare up. The shot reduces the chance for that. I'll be thinking of your wife. avoid stress. Much worse with stress.

She will be talking with her doc tomorrow the Zoster vax is close to useless it is a live vaccine and is good for 5 years if it doesn't cause an outbreak by itself the new vaccine (non live) which is a two shot sequence is much better.
