Like BBQ potato chips, raspberry and creme pastries, mini cherry pies, self preserving Twinkies, peanut butter Oreo cookies. Good bad things.

Tough, those damm pills are worse than all of those good tasting bad things ask Larry about what each has for "normal" side effects.

I take 5 meds everyone of them has the dizzies as a common side effect, now do you understand why old farts are prone to falling. The alpha blocker is really wonderful stuff, besides the dizzies it can cause other issues. One of which is the exact opposite of what the beta blocker causes. Side effects increase with dosage.

The docs hand this stuff out like candy.

Now while my systolic pressure is now under "control" my diastolic pressure sometimes goes too low for hours.

I planted lots of garlic in with every plant. I buy the garlic in big bags at Sam's club, then pull the bulbs apart and plant a clove in with every plant or every few inches in the row. You can also buy a garlic concentrate to spray just for the purpose of keeping things away.

I can sympathize with that. Same problem. If I stand still, I need to use my cane to make a three point support or over I go. I usually fall forward.

Larry I told my doc that 5mg was as high as I go with the ccb that is amlodipine, Subsailor, I am at the high end on its biological half life it really sticks around in my system and beyond 2.5 mg has very little helpful effect on my BP hope I can go back to 2.5mg as something has to give.

I think I am at 10mg with that drug. I take it at night. My bp has finally come down with the dosing I am on. I will be around 125/76 on many days about two hrs. after I take my morning dose of the other meds.

10 mg is the top end for amlodipine, very few are at that level. Lots of side effects at 10.

It is the readings in the 40's that bug me.
