No boating yet here, it’s still under 3” of sawdust from winter remodeling projects. Yesterday did manage to hit the creek on foot for a while. 3F6767D3-45D4-49FB-BC9B-8AA52DC54A2D.jpeg F8D25A89-582D-4B38-966D-0964BC859824.jpeg 751D003C-A96D-4148-9F96-1D856BC29C8B.jpeg

I got out on the lake for couple of hours until the wind picked up........ Good enough for dinner tonight.

Commercial fisherman on the mighty Miss. told me the Flathead cat were coming in nice. Buddy and I ran over to grab a few coolers. 100lbs live. Neat operation. Easiest day of fishing I've ever had.
    Now for the fry:)

Got a couple chances out on our loacal reservoir this year so far. It’s pretty neat that it’s fed by a waterfall, the really interesting thing is that the creek that the waterfall comes from actually runs UNDER the Erie Canal! 856F1F23-BF56-4E78-BDB0-36F16AB74564.jpeg D293C2C1-727F-44EE-9403-7674BF0899C9.jpeg

Pretty cool spot and fairly close to home. Makes for quick trip with some decent fishing.

Straight from the nets (actually giant aeriated on board water tank). Nets were pulled a couple hrs before our arrival. I'll be trimming the fillets today. Package and freeze most for now. May keep some out for tonight! I'll try to get some more pics. Including when we get a fry going.

New prop arrived today. WWW is giddy. He's been saving his bday and Christmas gift certificates up. (his immediate family exchange Cabela's and Bass Pro to eachother for both lol).

Hi I'm sorry I don't know except it's inboard and he had to go check a few times. He said the old one was softer and this one is stronger and could handle a mishap with a sandbank or, branch lol.

I think they are prehistoric looking. Good eating fish. White flaky flesh.

ling24may.JPG IMG_20110504_114655 (800x600).jpg J. Dirt Used to have a 22.5 Aqua Sport Explorer walk around with a 200HP main that we would go halibut fishing in miles off the coast. Been downsizing as we get older. I currently have a small boat called an Arima (picture) which is sort of an icon here in Washington State. It is 17" long and has a 90HP Honda and a 8.5 HP kicker. Very seaworthy boats. I fish for ling cod (picture) and salmon, kokanee(small landlocked silver salmon) and trout. I also fish for trophy star fish here in the Great North West (picture)! metalcuttr
