I haven't hunted deer in a while either but for some reason I want to shoot one more with my Marlin .30-.30 instead of my .308.

I bought the Model 60 in the early 70's just before I got the 30-30 and one of the straight pipes.

I've had more fun with the straight pipes, plenty of birds, the .22 has stopped quite a few bunnies.

Lots of garlic in the garden keeps the critters out. They just don't care for it. I put a lot of garlic in, I do mean a LOT. No bugs and no critters that way. Something about garlic that animals just don't like. You can even buy it as a concentrate to spray around. It really is being proactive instead of going for the lead poisoning after the fact. I didn't have one striped cucumber beetle last year. The bees still did their thing, but those bugs that eat stuff were nowhere to be seen.

Lousyweather Although I did get my 1st Winchester garand through the CMP, there are other places, although more $$. GunBroker.com is the one that comes to mind immediately. They have some for sale right now.

Been off the forum for a while, crazy busy at work. As usual, the company does everything azz backwards-the sales dept sold a new program without letting us know in advance. Why would the technical and admin side be able to prepare in advance? :hair:

The program requires tons of training including quite a bit of pre requisites to even access the software to implement/monitor the program, never mind really know how to use or properly implement it. But yet we have a customer order, only 20 locations across the country :headbang:

We should have have begun training for this at least 2 months prior to selling it. :picard:
