Today after work I got started digging some holes and dad helped me set the poles and get em leveled. Tomorrow we should be able to get the 2x12 joists set long ways and then start on the roof. Measures 18'x8'
We've had some really crappy weather lately and i gotta take advantage of each nice weather window i get. We had snow early last week and the past 3 days were all rain. Looks like tomorrow and maybe wed, sunny then 3 more days of rain
Hurry up, gonna rain Thursday, need dry space for your wood . LOL Looks like you are on you way. How high is it going to be?
Lol don't think i'll get it all in there by thursday. The back is gonna be right above the fence (roughly 7ft) and the roof will extend just over it . Tryin to keep the rain run off out of the stacks. The front will be about 6-2" higher. Mrs Piney's tall and i don't need her smackin her head when she's helping stack.
Wow, you are serious about getting to it. Looking good. Getting a base going has got to be one of the most difficult parts. Hope you keep pics of the build posted.
Looking good. I'm soooooo glad I built a shed, wish I'd built one 10 years ago! You going with a shingled roof or metal?
Roof's on! I used 4 of those 10ft pallets as the roof. Sucker doesn't even budge with me hanging and swinging from it. Still have to add a final roof material (either roll roofing or steel). Total cost so far, a few bucks for the 2x12's that I bought in a cull pile from a local lumber yard.
HOLY SMOKES, your ready for fire wood When I built mine, as each 16' section was up, I covered the roof with tarps & loaded it full of wood. Had to move the wood anyway to make room for the next 16' section. I got some damaged roll roofing from Lowes at 1/2 price. Nice front overhang ! Looks strong !
