Interesting and frustrating morning here. Had to be at hospital at 7:30 for mri. Did not get done as I put a stop to it.

This started at the doctor's office. He has been informed several times that I will not have an mri without being knocked out. Up to now our local hospital would not do that but I was informed that they now do it. I've talked since with hospital 2 times and both times I brought up the problem and was assured that all was well. It was....until the annesthesiolegst came in. No, they are not going to put me out, just give me something to relax. Okay, we'll cancel it then. Then he wanted to stand there and argue and bitch about primary doctors trying to tell him how to do his job. Sorry, I can not comment on that nor do anything about that. He just kept going on and on until I had to ask him to leave. Then we went out to the desk and was still there arguing with a nurse after I got the iv out and got dressed. Goodbye. I did call the doctor's office after leaving the hospital so now we'll see where this goes. I do know the doctor was upset because they delayed getting me scheduled so now he no doubt will be upset because it is delayed further. Such is life in the big city I guess.

Now I have to go to the big city this afternoon to get hearing aids fixed. Oh the joys of life.

That's really too bad about your morning so far. It is so frustrating when no one seems to be listening to you and understanding your needs.

Grrrr, sorry. My girlfriend that got a heart transplant had to have frequent biopsies, they went up to "her" heart through a groin vein, she allergic to the hospitals choice of pain killer and needed a different kind, it was a flipping battle every single time, every 3 months, then six months for years. It's almost like they don't read the doctors orders and if they do arrogance takes over because they think they know better. Sorry and

Smoke blocking out sun, eerie creepy and unsettling with the wind. Both planes and helicopter going overhead to the lake. WW's guesstimate 20K-30K acres, and more by the morning.

    :salute: Hoarders:)

When WWW gets home we are doing pre evac packing  Not ready to put it in the 5th wheel yet, stepping outside is like standing over a campfire, but we'll be ready. First evac 2012 was at 4 am so I know better. Yes Midwinter I already have a bag to go, but last time we ended up spending way more than anyone would realize in odd little necessities so we will be doing a more inclusive one tonight.

At least you have the 5'r to beat feet with. I can't imagine driving away in an evacuation and having no plan for where to live but a shelter.

    Be safe

They say showing up is 80% of life, I think that's way too much! Especially showing up for a waste of your time. I hope they got your point.

Absolutely. That's got to help, with not much fuel for it to burn off, if it were to get close.

    Stay vigilant!

I witnessed two vehicles speeding by. IN FRONT OF MY HOME. PRIVATE ROAD. Speed limit 15. They went by so fast if was at minimum 50mph. HELLO!?! Granted not pretty but it's a neighborhood, families, elderly neighbors , children, pets, not to mention the road is not wider than a one lane road for a lot of it, and at 50 MPH!?! OMG, I complained on Twitter and no response. 11 minutes later the flipping forest service posted pictures (how long it too them to get back to my daughter's school for wifi). It was a 2018/19 silver Suburban with all kinds of equipment on top, storm chasers or Gov't or other ?

I parked the old Blazer in the middle of the road. Used what was left of kiddos liquid chalk markers from Christmas, "15 M P H" on the back window, "SLOW DOWN" on the side, and "15 M P H" on my windshield too. (WWW moved it to our side of the road within our easement), but, it's there.

We'll see if I dug myself a hole on the National Forest Twitter thread.
