    Thankfully nobody was hurt. Amy has been shampooing the carpet and she moved it by herself yesterday. It wasn’t that great of a table - laminate over fiberboard top - but it was free.

    I think I’m going to go with something like this:

    Ash - I don’t have any quartersawn oak... :( I think I’m going to try using some of the boards I had sawn last year if they’re dry enough. If not, I’ve got some more slabs from the same tree I built the last 2 tables from.

    I’m thinking I might be able to get away with using the boards though, considering the fast drying qualities of ash, plus the fact that it’s summer. I’ll just have to plan for it to shrink rather than swell. Using the boards should save me a ton of time too as I won’t need to resaw the slabs.
