This is the big oak asplundh dropped across from my driveway, had a little time to myself so i went out. When i was backing into the processing area the dump cart came off the ball. Anybody ever have this happen with this type of cart? Second time this happened, it has that u shaped sleeve that slides over the ball. I guess i could just take the ball on and off as needed but thats a pain.
Nice work! Regarding the hitch coming off the ball, you might need to tighten the nut on the underside of the latch. Even if that was a 2" hitch on a 1-7/8" ball, it should stay on.
Nice oak. Yep, what Horkn said. Check the adjustment nut, and make sure ball and hitch are same size.
If you zoom in the trailer doesnt have a regular ball attachment it has this u channel that slides over the ball with a rotating sleeve to aid in trailer movement.
Woodwhore, is there a pin slot that might be dis-engaging while you’re backing up? Being that you’re in reverse, is that likely naturally unlocking the U lock? Never seen one of these myself but I’m reminded by this as lawnmowers can have a sweeper and the pin for the hit h is up and down and is spring loaded for ease of hook up. It doesn’t come out easily like you’re saying, Hope you figure it out.

That was another thought I had too, get to a tipping point and locks likely don’t hold. Hey can’t be too bad though with that being oak, money in your “bank”!
Didn't it come with the pin and keepers to keep it in place ? With the pin in it should be locked to the bottom neck of the ball.
