I think that probably has something to do with it. Oil and grime don't do electric motors any favors.

We still don’t know. It could be a tick disease, but the Lyme test was negative. If he’s not better by Friday, then we bring him back in for more testing. Will possibly have to send blood work out to a lab.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Been a lot of hours put in on it. Worth it though. We are all enjoying it.

Ouch, that's some healthy vet bills.

I've thought at times that it may be cheaper to go to school to become a vet rather than take my pets to one.

But seriously, it cost so much as it was an emergency visit. When we took Linux in it was in the middle of the night, and that dog never whined other than that night.
They x-rayed her I believe, and found she was severely constipated, not impacted, but it was obviously bad for her.

That is also how we found out she had calcification of the spine. The problem that eventually ended up being a serious issue for her.

Hope Boomer get's to feeling much better.

We had to go to the emergency Vet at night also, when our Min Pin was rubbing her bottom and we thought she had vaginitis. It was her anal glands, and that was slightly over $200 if I remember correctly. Thought we got off easy on that one. We changed her diet to a prescription Hills diet and she’s been good ever since. Only had to clean her gland out once. I hope I never have to do that again. Lol.

They sell pet insurance, and I always thought that was crazy. Now, I don’t think it’s that crazy.

The hex female connector should not be on the hose. Remove the long insert if you can. Slide the hex connector off. Cut the hose clean. Put the long insert through the female connector then push into the hose end. Slide the hose clamp up to secure the insert in place. Put a washer in and that's it.

I’m going to ask the Vet how much it is. Surgeries alone were $700 a piece the last two months.

Having just gone thru 2 Doxy treatments, I will suggest you give him a probitic as well. The Doxy can and probably will play havoc with his digestive system.

Definitely don't rely too much on the initial Lyme test. The lab based blood work is the only really definitive way to go. Been there and have the Tee shirt.

I hear ya. Friday we call the vet and that’s what I think he’s going to say. The office test can give false negative.

Our initial blood test showed a reading of 194. After one round of Doxy, it was down to 42. Our vet recommended a 2nd round of Doxy. That brought it down to negligible trace on the 2nd blood test.

You’re right, I think the best bet is to do the lab work to find out definitively.
