Hi all, I have many, many things to share and I hope to do so in detail. The past 6 months have been pretty nuts in my world and I took a "Social Media Vacation" for a while trying to stay on top of it. Short story - things are great! Just super duper busy. Some of my own making, some outside of my control, but here we are. I had a few threads going on projects so a few quick updates: -Kitchen is done! Well, mostly. I'll add more pics when I can of where it is. Still have a punch list... 12 months later much to the chagrin of my wife. -Workbench is still working, I built a fastner free (timber frame style) bed for my son and it turned out great. I have a few improvmeents in the works for the bench to improve its utility including adding a 2nd wall bench for glue ups/clamping work. -I burned >4 cord of wood last winter. It was cold, and I had questionable quality wood. To best optimize my time, I gave in and bought a splitter. The Aerians 22 ton. Very happy with it, got another 3 cord split in a few sessions and 2-3 cord in my rounds pile still. One maple tree went down and probably yielded 4+ cord. - Work is nuts. Probably the biggest detractor of my time, I've been BUSY. Got hired by a customer in California (I'm in NY) and I've been out there at least once a month. I dislike the travel but it's that time in my life where it's the right thing to do to set my company on the right trajectory. We're on track to have >100% growth in 2018, hence my level of crazy. - Health is good for me, my wife, and my kids. My son starts Kintergarden in the fall. Can't believe it. My wife's parents have both had challenges which adds to our overall business. - We have a dog now, his name is Angus and he just turned 1 year old, a Golden Retriever. We are happy to have him in our family and he is a great and loyal companion. - I've started getting more and more into timber framing and just purchaced the baseline tools to start some more advanced projects there (boring machine, and chisels), also took a class a few months ago to learn some skills, but lots to learn, particularly with layout. - I'm currently remodeling a bathroom, will have to drop a thread there. I learned how much time it takes to lay Subway tile. Hope to be grouting this week. That's about it - will try to get more substance posted as soon as I can, it's my intent to do so! Happy Monday! Garry
