This is all I can find: (and I'm not even sure that I have a "smart" router.......I'm on hold with Tech Support as I type this.)

How an Upgrade is Done
To avoid affecting customers during peak usage hours, upgrades to the smart router firmware are done during off hours, between 1am and 6am during the week only.

• During this time, the smart router should not be powered off or disconnected from the cable modem; this could cause the router to stop functioning.
• During the upgrade, the smart router goes through a series of steps and will reboot; this process may take three to five minutes.
• You are unable to access the Internet during the upgrade process.

Well, just got off the phone w/ Tech for Optimum....they handle all the security upgrades automatically....nothing for the end user (me) to do. He stated that business customers are at much more risk. I rebooted the router anyway.

 

Step 2 shows they reboot the router.

I took some pics of a big one today , he and I had an OH CHIT moment this morning , when I opened up the shop this morning . We got about 10 feet from each other he did a 180 and so did I .

Yes it is . He did his thing and I did mine which was to watch and take photos , of an amazing animal .

 

I would have had to go home and change my shorts.

will711 On a serious side, any plans on securing that dumpster so STB's cousin won't be making any repeat visits? I would tend to think that him (or her) coming back to scrounge while members are playing might be "not so good".

Pete the bears roam all over the place up there , they tend to come out at night . They are not vicious , you don't mess with them they don't mess with you .

 

It seems like you've been slacking all week. I didn't see many pics of fish.

 

Tomorrow is going to be big stove cleaning. Brush the stack out, replace some gaskets, big clean of the insides, put a box of baking soda in.
