Beautiful day ! Fresh snow , dead standing trees , and the Mini Boss ! Been leaning on this saw quite a bit. Love it more everyday ! Runs even better after the muffler mod. And will be even better after i do the carb swap. Dont be a small saw hater fellas . Thanks again Chevy Man !!!

Anything on your mind for the new "little" saw ?? My Dolmar 350 sees a lot of use . Its 35cc but has power that feels closer to 45 to 50 cc . Has 3/8 LP chain that just zings through wood . And the anti-vide is the best Ive ever felt...EVER !! We are talking about hardly any vibes . Totally different saw than the Mini Boss...in fact..WAAAYYY different !! Especially after I gutted the cat out of the muffler...and got rid of the Hi carb screw blocker A little heavier..but doesnt feel it in the hands . Been toying with selling it...but IDK .Im a little sentimental towards this one...but one never knows !!
oh boy, look what I started.... If my wife saw another toy come through the door right now, especially a saw like that one. She might just fire it up and use it on me. I'm in the chill zone for the time being. But will bug you sometime this summer when theres more money and less pressure.
HF… only thing I could compare it to is my 257. You have one. If both saws are at 100% with sharp chains… what are the differences?
From what I have seen...YES !! Some people say the extra cost is worth it . Im one who disagrees !! I used to be solely a Husky guy . But now I find benefits to all brands . I guess I like a variety now I tell ya...I know Dolmar's dealer network is sparse .........but by me there are 2 within 10 minutes . They are a darn good saw . Just made for cutting and comfort . Prices are better than Husky and Stihl . All have Mag crank cases ....including my lil 350 in the pics above !!
Well first off..theres a big torque difference . The biggest bar you would want on the lil Dolmar is a 16 inch . I have a 14....and it does just fine ! I honestly would say...anything 10 inches around and down...they are really close actually. But the Dolmar can be carried all day...but more bending down . The 257 is a great all around saw ....in my eyes ...one of the best . But boy...is it handy to have a saw like the Dolmar or Mini Boss !!! You would end up using them alot more than you think...I guarantee it !!
