Went to Michigan about 3 weeks ago, bought a 14k lb 24' trailer.
Sold my 6.5x12' 7k trailer a few days later. (regretting that big time)
Been slaying some boards and hammering bolts, building 24" sides for the 24'.
Easy to remove other then being heavy..

Selling my saws, preparing to move, bought another jeep and im going to be a Dad.

    TGIF.

Hi Hoarders, does the brake light in my dash on my 81' Blaze, does that mean low fluid, or just shook from too much washboard over the years? (4x4 light comes on once in when I'm in 4, but not often). Maybe I should go out there and scale the front bumper to get in the engine:rolleyes:. It's the square metal one, right?

That dash light could mean anything from low fluid to brake master cylinder failure.

wildwest how does vehicle stop. If stopping well could just be low fluid.. If master cylinder gone or leaking the brake pedal will feel spongy..

Thank you both of you. Went out there pried it open, 3/4 full. It's been so long since I did anything in there on the new engine I think mostly remember the old engine. I didn't find the power steering reservoir  . I'll ask WWW to do that. Good thing I checked, found gunked up oil on the frame, dipstick is low, darn new engine is leaking:picard:

It stops well, pedal is not spongy. I've been using it more lately and accidentally tried to take off with the emergency brake still on a couple times and its a bit loose now. I'll tighten that another day, pretty flat land here.

Had to pull out Old Trusty today.

Don't laugh. At least it starts every time.
Started out pulling the few remaining left over logs out off the hay field before they make hay. I am a little tired of the have to do projects and decided I will do something I love. Make wood.
Got the 254 out and as usual it was a bear to cold start. Got it going and make about 6 18" dia. rounds. Split and stacked them. 254 wouldn't start to cut some more rounds. Don't know what is a wrong. Pulled the MS250 out. Promptly flooded it. Operator error. Finished the small rounds with Old Trusty.
Cleaned the saws. They needed it.
Off to watch granddaughter's softball game.

wildwest, Remember if you got the little one in the car. If your brakes fail, your emergency break will still work..

wildwest one more thing that could turn on your dash brake light is if the switch on the E-brake isn't fully seated and it thinks the E-brake is still engaged.

While pulling on the E-brake release, pull back on E-brake foot pedal.

Of course that assumes that since it's a truck that it's a foot pedal E-brake, and not a hand brake.

    Just a thought.:)

    I'm sure it's a foot e brake Chaz I've never seen a k5 blazer with a hand e brake.

But that may be it, since the brake fluid is at 3/4 full. Jiggle the pedal and press and release it a few times. See if the light goes out, even momentarily. If it does, that's probably the culprit.

We had a great day at Road America for the superbike races.
It was just a practice day, so no racing today, the all out stuff happens tomorrow.

This new gsxr1000 is really nice looking, and even better looking in person. It's a white pearlescent. I sat on it and I actually fit on it. Most literbikes keep shrinking in physical size since the pro racers that ride them are not 6'4" and 250 lbs. It appears it would actually be pretty comfortable. It's part of the demo fleet, so I could take it for a ride. It's just that it's a traditional inline 4 cylinder, so it will never sound like my v twin sportbike. For the same $ I could geta v4 Aprilia tuono 1100. IMG_20180601_132536922_HDR.jpg

Plus I got a coupon for $20 off at cyclegear on a $75 or more purchase. The gloves I am looking at are just over that amount. Score!

You are very correct, I was bouncing around posts when I thought about it and only remembered that it was a truck.

I've only owned a few non GM vehicles over the years, and would have made the full connection had I re-read the initial post.
    :emb:

    Enjoy superbike weekend.
