    First skeeter of the season lands on my arm while just starting to eat supper on the back deck.
    He dies immediately. Skillz sharp as last year.

    Second skeeter 3 minutes later dies from sudden trauma to the body.
    3.5 minutes later, their cousin nabs me on the other arm, by the outside of the elbow- lives to tell the tale.
    :mad:

    To the cabinet my fellow hoarders!
    Bug spray shall be applied :D

    They've gotta hatch sometime and you were on the menu, apparently!

    They are also starting around these parts....bad now. The other evening at the cottage, 99 couldn't stay out while I was fishing off the dock. She was covered from head to foot while I was in shorts and open shirt. Yeah, I got bit, but I also got some more fish! Don't think I'll be able to repeat that performance without the aid of bug dope now!

    I was wondering if somehow the voluntary resident funded spraying came through at just the right time to avoid the infestation. I was wrong, the skeeters are coming out in more force each day.
