Wolf spider

    I would definitely do the river dance if bitten. In the summer I see ATLEAST a few per day. Never been bitten knock on wood.

    I did a report on this spider in 4th grade. There is a legend about a town outlawing dancing, so the people conspired to claim they were bitten and that dancing was the only cure.

    I hate spider bites. They take forever to heal. I go out on the porch and vacuum the ceiling where they like to hang out. Big fat ones that breed hundreds of little spiders.

    I don't like spiders, but I don't get all bent out of shape like I used to. I could still out run a horse if I saw a good sized one though lol.

    We had spiders that looked a lot like that at our camp on Webb Lake. I always called them wolf spiders but I have no idea if they're the same up here in Maine, or a cousin. The bodies could get to an inch long. They seemed to like the damp dark areas below the camp mostly. Never had one bite me, but I was always watchin' for em… yeck… :hair:
