Is anyone knowledgeable with this specific older model?

I want to check the air fiktef, but can't figure out how to do so. Can't find an exploded drawing or video on the net. I only find videos that are for newer models.

I'm finding the saw is bogging down after 20 mins of use. Fuel is fresh and works fine in my husky 435. So, I'd like to eyeball the air filter.

When I pull the cover off, there's a white plastic cover, with fins, that I believe the filter is underneath. Nothing obvious to snap/unscrew to open it up.

Does the saw go to wot out of wood? Sound like rpms are higher after warmed up?

It fires up fine. Runs/cuts fine. Then, starts to labor after cutting for a bit. When it starts to labor, it doesn't want to rev up to full rpm.

Cracking the fuel cap open, closing and restarting doesn't change the behavior. Just doesn't want to rev up to full rpm. Time for a visit to the saw doctor, I guess. There's been lots of hours and many cords of wood since its last visit.

Have you changed the plug? Sounds spark/ignition related.

Thought of that. Haven't done it yet. That'll be done before the Dr visit.

New spark plug took care of it.

Now, if I could only figure out the air filter. I noticed a hex/allen screw just under it. Didn't have the Allen wrench handy, but I will. If that's not it, then maybe someone at the gtg will point me in the obvious to them, direction.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.
