Is anyone knowledgeable with this specific older model? I want to check the air fiktef, but can't figure out how to do so. Can't find an exploded drawing or video on the net. I only find videos that are for newer models. I'm finding the saw is bogging down after 20 mins of use. Fuel is fresh and works fine in my husky 435. So, I'd like to eyeball the air filter. When I pull the cover off, there's a white plastic cover, with fins, that I believe the filter is underneath. Nothing obvious to snap/unscrew to open it up. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
Sounds you have an air leak or vapor lock. A plugged filter it would run poorly all the time. There's an intake boot from carb to cylinder port that usually begin to leak. Could be the coil going south as well after it gets hot Check out these exploded views Husqvarna 40 Parts List and Diagram - (1985-09) : eReplacementParts.com
It fires up fine. Runs/cuts fine. Then, starts to labor after cutting for a bit. When it starts to labor, it doesn't want to rev up to full rpm. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
Cracking the fuel cap open, closing and restarting doesn't change the behavior. Just doesn't want to rev up to full rpm. Time for a visit to the saw doctor, I guess. There's been lots of hours and many cords of wood since its last visit. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
Thought of that. Haven't done it yet. That'll be done before the Dr visit. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
New spark plug took care of it. Now, if I could only figure out the air filter. I noticed a hex/allen screw just under it. Didn't have the Allen wrench handy, but I will. If that's not it, then maybe someone at the gtg will point me in the obvious to them, direction. Thanks to all for the suggestions. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
