Niiiiiiiice. Though that 441 is much newer & faster,it'll seem like a toy after getting that 100cc beast going. :saw::cool:

This guy might be able to help ya - I know its on other coast but the odds are good he's got a decent older 30"+ roller nose for your Homie..... prices are fair too Saw King 1-541-863-5387 ask for Rich Dougan

Yeah he's the "shop talk" dude on YouTube. Didn't think of him at first (cause we all know he's a Mac guy) but I think I might just shoot him a call/email and see what he's got.

    Thanks Thistle!

Man I need to get this thing in some wood!

The saw came to me from Carbine (member here) as a runner. I noticed the recoil wasn't real smooth but I've already rectified that.

Even the damm recoil spring is big on this thing.... :jaw:

That's pretty. I kinda of like the looks, all the blockiness it has, like the muscle cars of yesteryears.

How much does she weigh?

EDIT: That weight is fully fueled and oiled, ready to go. Not that it makes a huge difference! o_O

Kinda like a vintage Semi.....

I'd like to try a similar vintage (late 60's/early 70's) large displacement Remington as well. A totally different look, much more streamlined. Much harder to get parts for those however. There are still NOS items for the old Homies around.

I'm thinking she'd yank 30" of full-comp .404" just fine, I would have to special order the skip. Worth it?

It'd pull full comp easy,I'm just used to skip on longer bars is all.

30" I'd use full comp. Should be a good runner. I remember running a 1130G with a 36" at a gtg a few years back.

30" is my minimum. I'd take a 36" up through 42" if the prices were right.

It hurts a little seeing this thread, aint gonna lie! Bought a new trap gun a couple weeks ago though, so I guess it took its place.

Hope it is everything you wanted it to be! It sure was for me... Surprised to see that the recoil was sticky for you, never gave me any trouble but I haven't use it since last fall. Don't be surprised if this saw cuts close to as quick as your 441, it will definitely put the hurt on it in big wood. This saw will pull whatever bar and chain you can find for it, I would stick with .404 and full comp- unless you can get a good deal on skip.

    That's exactly what I was thinking. :)
