Too bad about the Intrigue, but I think I called that way back when the overheating started. Typical signs are white smoke out of exhaust after engine is up to operating temp, coolant getting blown back into overflow bottle, and/or coolant that is cream colored plus the previous 2 I mentioned.

    Congrats on the graduation!!!!

Picked some used ones up off a CL Wednesday after work. Got all 3 rows of mats for $100 - and they are in really good shape .

Also, my WT cargo mat came in from Amazon earlier this week (the 3rd row will most likely never be used). Haven't had time to even take it out of the box but will get it in this weekend.

Well, had two leaders talk to me in the last couple of days. Although not a done deal, seems like they (and about 30 other people in the company) have noticed. At least one of two things will happen in the next 45 days. Even if it is just money, I can live with that. If they are also able to convince the owner to move me to the position I really want, all the better (my current position is hard to fill).

Management still has to finalize what will be for sure going on, but it is heartening to know that they are appreciative!

So true. The hospital I worked with last had just earned time. But staff were still monitored for unscheduled leave and the same old rules applied. (no union) I had a few hundred hours of sick leave accrued, When the earned time came in, my sick leave was just taken away. Dirty deal I say. When I retired from the VA, I had 1300 hrs of sick leave that was added to my retirement date. My unused Annual leave was cashed in. I had a lot of leaved piled up because as a manager, there were few opportunities to use it.

If you know you are going to loose it, can you donate your time to someone who is ill and can use it?

Not that I want to increase your number of credit cards, but did you know that the Amazon CC rewards really can add up. They told me that if I had one, I would save about $368 last year. That more than offsets my prime cost. Something to think about.

The cost and time to orient and train an employee is out of sight. Horrid amount of energy for a staff to become informed about chem hazards, safety codes, confidentiality and consequences. New staff are on probation from 1-2 years. Non professionals are one year and licensed staff are two years. That was the way it was in 2000 when I retired.

Can't seem to get my old mobility scooter running. Batteries say full power. however they were band new in 2016 but not installed until this spring. Having a hard time finding someone who repairs them. :( I want to get this one repaired so my wife can use it.
I went to the VA and asked about a mobility scooter. Looks like I am getting one from them. This will be a new unit. They also will put a ramp on the house and a lift on the van. I hope so. I want to be able to get around this summer.

Thanks Larry, I'll look into it more. I always see a message when I check out that says "if you had an amazon CC this order would only cost $xyz ". I thought it meant a one time discount for signing up, I didn't realize it was for all purchases.

That message you see is a one time thing when you sign on to their CC. Their credit card is a rewards card, you can use it anywhere and get rewards credits which you can spend on Amazon. the way you and I shop from home, it adds up quick. Can pay for your subscriptions and buy things.

Such interesting timing Larry. I'm just about to pull the trigger on a new fridge. :sherlock:

    Thanks Larry!

ETA, bought the fridge, great price, free delivery, Amazon's 5 year extended warranty is almost $300 less than Sears. That and minus the $70 discount for signing up for Amazon CC and $45 cash back on purchase. Good deal for me, I did not have do play the points and rebate games at Sears, and interestingly enough, I looked at SquareTrade for the extended warranty, that was $50 more than Amazon too !?! (And it appears Allstate bought SQ, can't help but wonder with all the price differences ifyouknowhatImean)

Not at this point but people have brought that up. However, our company pays both LT & ST disability, so if someone is sick for a while, after 3 (or is it 5?) days they start getting paid from that, so that is helpful for those who need it. We had one guy out for a couple of weeks with broken ribs, another gal out for a month with a broken wrist and I know they got paid from the benifit.

P43 running this morning. Clouds starting to move in and currently 39* outside. Doesn't look like I'll get frost although other parts of NH surely will (last frost date is and of month). Not supposed to get but in the low 50's. Have to go into work later today to meet with the owner and give her some pointers for the AS9100 audit that starts on Monday.

I'll be firing my 43 up today too , ran it for awhile last night to get the chill out of the Man Cave 60's is not comfy for playing on the puter or watching TV . That thing is so dirty has be 3 months since I last cleaned it , Granted it's not running 24 / 7 , the ash bin is over flowing , but I'm not doing it till I don't need it any more this season and that could be a few more weeks .

P68 will likely run some today as well.

Todays agenda includes trying to figure out why my 5 year old LG fancy dancy fridge isnt cooling enough. Noticed ice cream not staying hard so I popped in a thermometer-not getting much below 20 deg and noticed ice buildup on back wall of freezer so defrost isnt working. Fridge is getting to about 40 degrees.

Gonna try removing freezer food (I have a standup freezer in garage). Remove back wall of freezer and see if the evaporator is frozen. That may mean defrost thermostat and/or the heater has gone bad. I can check continuity of the heater to see if its open but I cant find the range it is suppose to be.

Of course my multimeter crapped out recently so I have to run to Home Depot first.
