I finally got ahold of my 70 y /o mother at 5:30. Turns out her best friend from high school is in town and they are partying down at mountain resort

But agreed, I do not call either of my parents after 7 pm. 99's should have called earlier but I;m also glad they finally did:)

In this case, it was just a self-appointed busy body with nothing that couldn't wait until tomorrow sometime.

I get concerned when the phone rings this late...and disgusted when it rings for no good reason.

Grandkids! :hair::hair::hair::hair::hair::hair: Second rant of the day. My wife use to have a plaque that said "Grandkids are the blessing you get from not chocking your kids to death."
Our 13 year old granddaughter called at 8:30 pm . "Can you help me with a electrical science project." "Yes. I would love to." The project is do tomorrow.
The grandson drove her out here. She had a box that was divided into 4 sections, 4 batteries, roll of wire, 4 Christmas tree light bulbs, 4 paper clips and 8 of them fold down fasteners you would use to hold papers together. The object was to design and wire a circuit for the lights to light each room of their house. The first step was to assemble a holder to house the batteries. Major part was missing. Now I am getting pizzed. "How long have you had to do this project?" "I've had it for 2 weeks." Shame on her. Talk about adding fuel to the fire. I already was in the mood to give the teacher an ear full about the stupidity of the project.
11:30 we finally get the project assembled and trouble shot using their cheapy parts and some of my own.
I wish she would of asked for help much earlier. We could have made it a real educational and enjoyable project. The way it turned out, she has a working project, but don't think it will survive the bus trip. Don't think she learned a darn think.

Ugh I've been up most of the night with a little girl with an ear infection. Finally have her sleeping on me down on the couch. I've got a little sleep off an on.

I'm sure I'll be a rock star at my meeting at 10 am to pitch them switching to my product at a tune of at least 600k. Biggest fish I've ever had on the line to date, and I'm gonna be half asleep. Great.

Yup, sounds about right...Murphy. At least it isn't a 7-8 AM meeting...get a good breakfast in ya, that might help.
Yuck, you can keep that crap...we've hit 83 a couple times already this year...and that's bad enough! If we never saw anything over 75 again it would be fine by me!

92 degrees there today. Pretty rare to get this hot this early in the year around here. Seems like 2 or 3 weeks ago it was cold enough for a fire.

This will be the first "hot" day since I had my new AC unit, ductwork, and insulation installed. Kinda interested to so how it will do compared to my old system. Last year on a hot sunny day like this the AC would kick on for good around 10 and not shut off until early the next morning, while keeping the house 2 degrees about the set temperature. I knew it was smoked but had to get some other remodelling projects done before it made sense to replace everything.
