I restore houses and she is with me everyday, today we did some concrete block sealing she now has a couple of white spots on her.
Today was Jackson's first hike since having bilateral TTA knee surgery, he's almost 9 weeks post surgery and doing well, still a bit lame on one side but mostly only when he first gets moving. He had his 8 week post op xrays last week, the Doc says everything looks good and gave the OK to gradually increase activity. He even got a little time off leash today. We took it easy just a couple miles and about 500 ft gain.
Glad all worked out well for him. Also good that you were able to afford the surgery. I feel many dogs don't get care when the owners find out what the cost is. My old boy had one knee done. He is now very arthritic. He smiles as he waddles on and on, so I just let him do and go at his own pace. Sometimes he follows the grandkids down on the power line. I don't know why he wants to go that far, but as I said, I let him set his own pace. He walks, never any running, just a steady pace. Thank you for the update and the pictures. I always enjoy the dogs adventures.
Stone Barn Farm, the house is c. 1850, the barn c. 1907, on the National register of historic places and protected by a preserve easement. Some trails through the 165 acres fields and woods that the owner allows access to.
Looks like a sweet spot to romp with the puppy dogs! I love that old stuff too! How are the ticks over your way DaveGunter? Maple & Dawn have both had one so far.
Ticks are pretty bad here Brian, there is no hunting on the Island so the deer are pretty much unchecked except for 3-4 million tourists a year mowin em down with their cars. Trying the seresto collar this year on the Hounds, still finding them attached but always dead and not engorged. I leave a spray bottle of permethrin by the door and douse myself from the knees down a few times a week.
