Well, 2 loads of loose trash to the dump, 7 bags of trash brought into mom's, some progress made on the thorn bush roots, and one bastard of a stump disconnected.

We stopped burning last weekend and since today was decent, I cleaned the stove and chimney and put screen material around the top of the chimney to keep birds and bats out.

The wind came through last night and we were lucky that it wasn’t all that bad. It managed to bring the daytime temps down into the 70s which was a relief.

Started the day with a run the neighboring town They were having a free trash drop off for electronics. I had a 10 year accumulation of old computers, printers and the like. They charge 4 dollars for tires and I had 1. Paid my $4. Didn't pay attention when they unloaded the truck. Came home and the tire was still in the bed. I guess the electronics weren't free to me.
Attended the grandsons baseball game. They won.
Trip to Lowes for some compost. Picked up 800 lbs. and spread on the garden along with some fertilizer. Tilled all that in. I did get a 15 ft row of potatoes planted. I'm getting to old for that crawling across the ground. I believe I will go to Rural King tomorrow and purchase a seeder.

Ok, it might just me but on a beautiful Saturday, besides wife and I, had 12 different vehicles come up driveway, wife says that is " not normal", :jaw:, I've been trying to get from winter to spring mode all week.

It snowed Monday, so today, mowed parts of yard, took chains off tractor, raked flowers gardens, organised garage, cleaned porch / mud room and dump run.. Brother power boomed 1/4 mile drive. Having a few drinks before:sleeping:

Woke up at 4:30 after getting to bed at 1. Went turkey hunting and didn't see a dammmm thing. Took the kids to tennis. Drive 2 hours to my uncle's house and planted 1500' of taters. Drove 2 hours home and went directly from the truck seat to the mower seat and finished up just as I ran out of daylight. I'm more than a little tired.

Ugh. Went to a friends party with the wife last night, didn't get to bed until 2am. Of course today would be the day my daughter wakes up 2 hours earlier than usual. Gonna be a long day on 3 hours sleep! At least I won't be hungover like my wife though. :dex:

Stepdaughters 15th bday party this afternoon. I forsee me making myself scarce and doing some scrounging

We've had one of those for many years and yes, it saves a lot of bending and overall, lots of work and the work goes faster. What is there not to like about that?

Poor li’l thing had brought some minnow net back to weave in and got the foot hung in it.
Fire Flake called me after numerous attempts with the broom to lift her/him up and out to no avail (I was helping tinbiscuit split what we got a few weekends ago).
I put on a hearth glove, gently scooped the bird, and cut it free....
