Heck, park it in my driveway, I still have the Pioneer stereo I had in my GMC 1500 sitting in a cabinet taking up space.
I'll put that in and drive that white whale just as she is.

Tons of places on ebay have affordable leather. But if your doing that whole thing it will cost some cash

 

Yep go to pull a part and get some nice factory wheels for nothing. Or some new take offs , from CL

Congrats Screwloose ! Nice work horse right there. A new one of those would be about 12 X that! That beast is in nice shape. A good choice.

 

It's in very good shape inside but I want to make something special for her. I never will expect to "get my money back" as I don't see ever selling it. As for the running boards.....she's short, sorta looks like a "monkey £@#$ing a football" watching her climb in.

 

Our other 99 has total power everything on the seats 60/40. Biggest issue is she can't see over the hood without a cushion to boost her up. Looks likely to have them skinned and swap them in as it has power height adjustment.

 

After reading your comment I looked and was surprised how many almost new sets are on craigslist from people putting customs on new trucks.

 

I'm self employed and putting a fair amount of money into it is fine with me just because I can stop if things were to get tight. Locked into payments leaves me uneasy. I still remember 08 when machine shops were being auctioned off to pay debt.

 

Just noticed today that it has all NEW complete brakes, including new steel lines and hoses, factory bent ones too not made from a roll strung around haphazardly.

 

Yea and often it's before the tires are worn out and there not desirable as no one buys factory rims and often the set can be had for half the price of the tires...the rims are free basically. That's they way used rims I have bought went, you basically buy the tires and the rims are free...just price out the used tires accordingly, if there shot or just a set of rims there not usually worth much.

 

Brakes are cheap, but if it has new drums and rotors and those hard lines are gold. That's a thousand dollar brake job if done from top to bottom

 

Offer you an not refuse...I will bring you $5200.00 tomorrow for that piece of crap!!

 

Especially on a 3/4 ton. Drums and rotors are pricey on those.
