Just got back with another load. Filled to the brim Getting into the good stuff now! 30"x13'4" log. (Offered this one to blacksmith's cousin for the mill but he didn't have room to take it.) It'll be firewood by the end of the day tomorrow . I did wrestle one 26" round into the splitter today myself. Saving the rest for tomorrow when I have help I'm tired now
Nice work Tim! Looks like Ruger is kicking his lips waiting to chew on some of those splits! I gotta say they do look tasty! That’s exactly what I was thinking while I was working on the locust. There is a certain “funk” to the smell, but it’s grown on me after having heated with it.
My back hurts just looking at those rounds. Ok my back hurt making pancakes this morning too. Picked up a couple rounds I probably should have known better than to yesterday. Hey I used my knees !
Hey you feel like you went head to head with Joe Thomas, Ali and Rocky yet? Enjoy a cold one. If the smell hasn’t knocked ya cold yet....
Pulled the cap off the front tractor wheel hub and found a snap ring. Crap... Tried to get it off with needle nose pliers but it was a heavy duty snap ring. So, off to town for the tool. Napa had one set of snap ring pliers with interchangeable tips. I didn't like them but I got them anyhow and back home. Well, they sucked! Couldn't get the tip to stay in. So back to town to return the El Cheapo ($19) snap ring pliers, then off to Autozone to see what they had. They had a better set, so back home and got the wheel off. Loaded it up and off to town again to get a new tire...
2 more loads of red oak today. I have 2 of the three trees done Only 1 pic though....im tired Can't remember if this was 7 or 8 rounds. Either way, the truck rides nice with a full load on
