83 here today....the farmers are hauling manure like crazy since things are just now dried out enough to get into the fields...couple weeks behind normal for sure! Even seen one guy planting...not sure what...pulling a grain drill...by the way he was going multiple directions my guess would be a hay field. I'd say he's pushing it with the soil temps...

Got to 82° here, going by my thermometer. I’m sitting on the deck right now. It’s a balmy 79°. Gotta love it.

Our Tuesday trivia team won tonight for the 3rd time in 4 weeks.....

Of course a win is a win, but when you end up with 17 points out of 30 questions and bet “0” for the double or nothing/final Jeopardy round....and win, that’s the sweet spot.:rofl:

    :D

No, she has basically zero friends up there. The closest is a local guy that we sold our 2n Ford tractor to. He's got his hands full with his wife that has health concerns. But he's a good guy, for help with odds and ends. She moved into our family cottage.

I've got a good career 3.5 hrs south of her. I can't move up by her. Oldest brother is an artist, living in Portland OR. His GF has a good job out there. So that's not happening. The other brother is based out of Florida, and has his own job down there. So that's not happening either.

It gets easier in late spring, summer and fall when my wife and I with the dogs can stay in the camper across the street.

Two tests and 4 reports to turn in....:hair:...then I'll be done with classes.

I don't think I'll re attend next fall.

yooperdave I've been toying with the idea of taking a few classes. Maybe in the fall or next winter.

Got the generator hooked up and happy about that. Now the power company will probably start doing their job and we won't be out of power. But I don't care. We have it if it is needed. Sort of like that spare tire you have in the back of your car or truck. Hope you never need it, but it is there is it is needed.

Forgot to mentioned before but the taters and peas are planted. Strawberries going in today.

Started the day badly with vertigo so haven't done anything yet. Will look over the forum then try to get outdoors.

Yep... the $$ spent on generators is a good investment. Hope your vertigo settles down Dennis... go easy.

I do believe that there is a way to waive the tuition because of the age. Check into that!

Or natural.......whatever source you have for it. Just like ordering a furnace or BBQ grill. Specify what your fuel source is.

It hit just about 88 here today, which is ridiculous. Traffic backed up this morning around the beach roads up the interstate. Lots of people playing hookey today. Ocean temp right around 47 degrees. I don't get why they all want to be there today.

Oh! Never heard of that but will check into it. I'm actually just a couple classes short of some degree but it was not important to me at the time.

Mother Nature's air conditioning. But some will probably take a quick dip somewhere. At least they don't have to chop ice first.
