Caffeine is in, carpet cleaner is returned to Lowe’s. My wife cleaned all carpets in the house in the last 24 hours.

Three day weekend. :rootintootin::fart::rootintootin:Time to do some work around house and barn. When I get around to it.

Not much going on so far. Back is terrible this morning. Headache during the night and when it went away I was wide awake so up for several hours. So, probably not much will get done here today but it would be nice if I could plant the taters and peas. If not today, then tomorrow.

Today is the first day in a while that my sciatica hasn't been bothering me. I was gonna head out this afternoon and grab some oak from a tree that came down in my neighborhood during the ice storm before the poison ivy starts to grow.

Went to sharpen my second chain, and it started raining pretty good as soon as I grabbed the saw. :hair:

    Hopefully it lets up soon.

A really nice first day of the long weekend. Nice temperatures. Lawn mower maintenance today. My son and I got them out of the barn. Sprayed them off with the hose and then cleaned them up really good. Filled tires, charged the batteries. Both running decent. Tomorrow I will continue cleaning underside of deck on both. The zero turn deck is going to need some repair. Got banged up pretty bad over last season. Oil changing time. Filters. Etc.

Then my son and I went for a walk/run for 4.5 miles. Now I’m sitting here relaxing eating some Pistachios and sipping a cold bottle of Michelob Ultra. Life is good! My wife is going to cook us all pork chops and one great big steak. Add some seasoned curly fries and now we’re talkin!

Ho-Lee $%$#$# what a week. Been covered up in ball games, track meets, yard work...and a downright fugly week at work. Got a couple kids shipped off to the grandparents for the night so the wife and I are going to eat a good dinner, have a few beverages, and enjoy what little bit of free time we have for the week.

Going out in the turkey woods tomorrow AM for a few hours. Struck out bad Wednesday. Hands down the worst turkey hunting I've ever had...birds didn't gobble, answer calls, or make themselves visible at all. I covered 8 different properties and saw/heard next to nothing.

    Busy weekend ahead.

Just put away the first of several Three Floyds' IPAs. It tasted awful good.

    Progress made today.
My truck has been down since Dec. waiting on a warm dry day to lay on the ground and fix it. Replaced the broken tie rod after much cussing. It should of been an hour max repair, but turned into 3 hours. Couldn't get the inner tie rod broke loss. Was finally able to get it into a position that I could use a pipe on the wrench. Back to gether and test drive made.
I had to get the truck back on the road for tomorrows county wide free hazardous waste collection. I have a lot of the stuff the trash man doesn't take.
I also have a large pile of scrap metal to take to the recycle place and a lumber run to make probably Mon.
Made a rack along the north wall of the shop to hang the Kombi, pole saw, attachments, shovels rakes..... and other implements of destruction.
